De top 5 albums heb ik allemaal wel gehoord (Neil Young staat zelfs dubbel in de kast, op cd en lp), maar alleen Bryter Layter doet me echt wat... ook had ik Bowie, de VU en Pink Floyd wel wat hoger verwacht. Hopelijk ligt de eindlijst van 1971 dichter bij mijn voorkeuren.

Heeft mij nooit helemaal gegrepen, dus viel hier buiten de top 20. Over 2 jaar haalt hij vermoedelijk mijn top 10 wel.

Zoals verwacht het verkeerde album van CCR en Eric Clapton. Geen enkele vrouw in de top 25. Geen enkel album uit mijn top 10 haalt de top 10. Toch halen acht albums uit mijn top 20 uiteindelijk de top 25.

De winst van Neil Young is natuurlijk geen verrassing want "After the Gold Rush" wist ook de Knock-out: 1970 te winnen. De andere finalist was Van Morrison met "Moondance". "Cosmo's factory" van CCR kwam er niet aan te pas. Die werd in de 4e ronde terecht uitgeschakeld door Simon en Garfunkel's "Bridge over Troubled Water".

Ik moet wel tevreden zijn met deze uitslag ,9 nom. In de Top20, waarvan Young op 1 (geen verrassing eigg) en voor mij de onverwoestbare Creedence op 2,had Cosmo wel in de Top 10 gehoopt...
Maar met deze stemmersclub was ik toch lichtelijk verbaasd dat dit album ook hier zo gewaardeerd word,vergeef mijn verkeerde indruk van jullie, en dank dank
Heb toch nog wat te zeuren(net als de rest hier,dus ik mag ook )
Waarom worden Live-albums bijna niet meegenomen in deze stemming? Heb ik geen begrip voor
En Bridge en M hotel horen in de Top10 thuis
En Superbitch was me voor,sluit ik me bij aan ,waar zijn de musicerende Dames ?

Dat kan en dat mag.

Voor mij is het omdat het werk bevat van heel veel verschillende jaren en ook omdat de opname vaak helemaal niet is van het jaar waar we nu mee bezig zijn. Dus als voorbeeld een live plaat die is opgenomen tijdens verschillende concerten tussen 70 en 72 en uitgebracht in 1976.

Uiteraard is dat mijn inzicht en mag iedereen (gelukkig) doen wat hij zelf wilt en heb ik daar in ieder geval wel alle begrip voor.

Ben wel een beetje van dezelfde mening, misschien zijn er n paar uitzonderingen omdat die iconisch zijn zoals Cash at Folsom of ms iemand die echt een live artiest is zoals Joplin..

Volgend jaar nomineer ik zo'n uitermate memorabel live-album.

Inderdaad veel te laag, maar ik had ook niet anders verwacht. Wat de boer niet kent....
Voor mij in ieder geval een van de grote ontdekkingen tijdens het meedoen van deze game.

Het juiste woord en wat ik bedoel/aangaf een "Memorabel " Live album,.niet minder meetellend Tss de regulaire werken
Ook mee eens ,en begrip met voorgaande reacties van beiden heren,de opnames van het Concert moeten niet te ver van het betreffende jaar liggen,dus ook (deels)betrokken zijn in het actuele werk uit die periode,daar let ik ook wel op
En...iconisch wat luigifort aanhaalt met bv Cash daar heb je ook een punt,is daarnaast ook weer een memorabel album uit de music history
Live albums die het verdienen laat ik 100% meewegen in mijn nominaties

Ik doe mee. Zo'n memorabel album kun je niet passeren inderdaad. Niet in 1971, niet in 1972.
