Nevermind is voor mij het album van de nineties. En nog steeds draai ik m graag. Iconische hoes ook.

Dankzij huiswerk Slint, Wedding Present, Slowdive en Richard Thompson (her)ontdekt. Muziekarcheologie is een mooie en vruchtbare hobby.

En voor alle stemmers op R.E.M.'s Out Of Time (imho niet hun beste) die nog nooit het eerbetoon van de onvolprezen Fatima Mansions hebben gehoord: kauw dáár eens op. Ja, die waren er vliegensvlug bij ...

Mijn nummer 10 verraadt dat ik met moeite aan een top 10 kwam.
Dit zijn de weinige albums die ik integraal ken én een top 10 plaats waardig achtte.

En alleen Casartelli heeft de nummer 1 goed voorspeld.

Twee toppers (herman en vigil wisten U2 goed te plaatsen. Op het laatste moment heeft johan de witt kostbare punten verspeeld, waardoor ik alsnog moet rekenen voor de lolly en slingers. En dat is best wel ruk, want ik heb hier geen Excel.

De gemiddelde voorspelling was:

Nope

Over de kunst van de voorspelling vallen boompjes op te zetten. Een indruk die ik wel heb is dat je een plaat die in je eigen perceptie overgewaardeerd is, makkelijker te hoog zet in je voorspelling. Zo kon ik Nevermind (waar ik behoudens de beide hits niks aan vind) bovenaan zetten en zo voorspelden velen Ten op één. Massive Attack staat dichter bij mij, maar daar projecteerde ik dan weer te veel mijn eigen indruk op het collectief.

Verder had ik U2 dus op 3 omdat ik toch wel de indruk had dat de twee houthakkersplaten écht dominant waren (en tja, deze van U2 vind ik dan wel weer erg goed). Maar ik heb inmiddels ook valide redenen gelezen waarom hij hoger dan 3 staat.

And the winner is : herman met 8 goed voorspeld, waarvan 3 op de juiste plaats.

Ook knap gedaan: Casartelli met 8 goed, waarvan 1 op de juiste plek. En natuurlijk johan de witt met 7 goed, waarvan 4 op de juiste plek.

Met 6 van de 10 goed voorspeld sluit vigil de lijst, maar daarbij wel knap gezien dat U2 op 2 moest komen.
