De 70's, dude, wat een waanzinnige tijd voor muziek is dat geweest. De jaren '60, die uiteraard ook al niet mis waren, gebruikt als de perfecte springplank tot een uitbarsting aan onbegrensde creativiteit. Een bijna onmogelijke taak om al mijn favorieten uit dit decennium in elkaar te drukken tot een lijstje, en er is nog zoveel wat ik nog kan/mag/wil ontdekken!

Boeien! Ik vind je lijstje in ieder geval top! Heb hier zeker nog wat te ontdekken, want lang niet alle titels zijn mij bekend. Wie weet zijn er wel meer mensen die uit deze en de lijst van aerobag eens iets gaan beluisteren. Daar doen we het toch ook voor, guys?

De 70s zijn duidelijk mijn minst favoriete decennium. Dat blijkt ook uit het feit dat er maar 7 albums in staan van de periode 1970-76 (waarvan dan ook nog 3 van het laatste jaar) en dan begint de new wave en beginnen eigenlijk de 80s al. 6x 1977, 8x 1978 en 9x 1979.

Ten opzichte van 2019 wel iets meer album bestemd (374 nu om 336 toen). De jaren '70 zijn nooit mijn voorkeursdecenium geweest, maar probeer wel hier en daar wat bij te spijkeren. Vooral in soul en exotischere genres. Net als in de 60's wint ook Gainsbourg hier serieus terrein en ook vooral Fela Kuti (nu 3 albums i.p.v. 1).
Verder in de afgelopen 2 jaar geen platen ontdekt die hier al gelijk binnenkomen. Wel Joni Mitchell's Blue herontdekt, maar die stond er jaren geleden bij mij waarschijnlijk ook al in. Echter vind ik hem nu nog een stuk beter dan toen.

Met Cas hebben we nog wel een appeltje te schillen, een mandarijntje te pellen, een mango te ontleden, een avocadootje uit te lepelen. Is ie eindelijk Mod en voelt hij zich gelijk te goed voor good old Comus hoor. Waar is die prog folk love gebleven

Ik zou een verzoek bij de organisator van dienst indienen dat-ie volgende keer Top 40's in behandeling neemt. Ik bedoel, ik plaats First Utterance wel in het gezelschap van Close to the Edge - je zou voor minder...
