Ik begin inmiddels toch behoorlijk enthousiast te worden voor de nieuwe Moderat plaat, single More Love is deze week de hoogste binnenkomer. Verder o.a. de spacey IDM van Brainwaltzera, een zomers houseplaatje van Logic1000 en de mellow Whitest Boy Alive vibes van Jack J.

Maus' Weeklijst

TIEN JAAR MUMEAFREKENING

Dit is dé week. De week van het tienjarig bestaan van de MuMeAfrekening. Aanstaande maandag leveren we al tien jaar lang onze persoonlijke lijstjes in en vormen we daar een gezamenlijke weeklijst van.
Hoog tijd dus om iedereen te bedanken die daar ooit aan mee heeft gewerkt. En om iedereen te spammen: stuur nog eens een lijstje in, for old times sake, en ben nog één keer (of vaker) die medebepaler van de MuMeAfrekening. Met een persoonlijke top 20, of, als je dat niet redt, een korter lijstje met actuele muziekjes.
Ik spam even de halve wereld bij elkaar.
De allereerste weeklijst, in mei 2012, werd samengesteld door de volhouders herman, jassn, ranboy en Vince vega, en door 2MY, aERodynamIC, arcade monkeys, Rhythm&Poetry, ArthurDZ, Don Cappuccino, dumb_helicopter, Dwejkk_, inquestos, kemm, Magick1, Osiris Apis en Sunderland.
Later in 2012 werd ook aangehaakt door Arrie, Onweerwolf, Snoeperd, Teunnis, stoepkrijt, NewYorkCityLight, AOVV en, nog altijd erbij, Gretz.
2013 bracht ons de bijdragen van vaste spelers curufin, DjFrankie, musician, Silent_shout, Dance Lover en Sundance en oud-spelers Aroentje, DenDimi, tuktak, Ploppesteksel, yeahyeahyeah, De-noir, Outlaw104, sniezo en Poeha.
In 2014 sloot Eigenwijze 30 aan.
In 2015 volgden iamsander, JoaMuse, gerre, stardust_be, Co Jackso, Reijersen, Sfeermaker, Sander14, Ozric Spacefolk en kaj_666.
Van de nieuwe deelnemers in 2016 is cosmic kid nog steeds van de partij. Daarnaast waren er dat jaar ook voor het eerst bijdragen van johan de witt, panjoe, luigifort, Masimo, VladTheImpaler, 774leon, Grecio, Marzipaintree, Lukas en 123poetertjes.
In 2017 lieten AstroStart, WhyNotSmile, Verweggistan, SanderT, chartsmaster, cowboyhenkie, SjoerdCrins, davyvdp, Ataloona, Glen Hansard, AngeloV, popdroidmusic en riiiiiiiii voor het eerst van zich spreken.
Nieuwe deelnemers in 2018 waren blur8, RadioMad, nico1616, SBube, Titmeister, ranja, jordidj1 en madmadder.
2019 zag de eerste weeklijstjes van huidige deelnemers aerobag, Dim, Mausie, Simon77 en MRDammann en voormalige deelnemers Manfield, dislexie, Robbie34 en Koenr.
In 2020 sloten esteban en sj0n88 aan.
Vorig jaar verschenen de eerste weeklijstjes van Scorpion_21 en rudidj.
En de enige nieuwe deelnemer dit jaar is tot nu toe Finn.
Zevenennegentig deelnemers in totaal door de jaren heen!

Dank aan iedereen die al dan niet blijvend meegedaan heeft en bovenal aan de organisatoren die er wekelijks geheel vrijwillig zoveel tijd aan besteden!

Het lijstje van deze week met nog steeds een vrij vaste top3/top5. Er is de afgelopen weken wel weer veel leuks uitgekomen, maar echte toppers zitten daar (nog) niet tussen. Onder de top5 wel de nodige verschuivingen. En vier nieuwe binnenkomers; alle vier Nederlands fabricaat, ik weet niet of dat al eens eerder voorgekomen is in mijn lijst (maar Chartsmaster weet het ongetwijfeld; geintje natuurlijk, niets dan lof voor alle stats van de afgelopen weken en in de presentaties). Hoogste nieuwe binnenkomer is de Maastrichtse band Solomon. Het heeft qua stemmige muziek en diepe stem van de zanger wel iets van Ist Ist.
Ook de nieuwe single van Silver Lake haalt de lijst, verder twijfelt Tessa Rose Jackson of ze nu zichzelf of iemand is. Bij dit nummer staan opeens (of beter, suddenly) beide namen. Het liedje ligt in het verlengde van het eerdere werk van Someone. En tot slot ook Lena Hessels; ze haalde met Crown al eerder mijn lijst. En ook deze nieuwe vind ik leuk; fijne laid-back beats waar ze een beetje dromerig overheen zingt. Prima.

Position switch voor Muse en The Haunted Youth, Shadows neemt de koppositie over. Verder een sterke spurt van Tamino. Vlak na het verschijnen van die bezwerende single wist de Egyptische Belg (of omgekeerd) meteen een plaats te veroveren bij de kanshebbers, in de tweede week steekt hij de helft van de TOP 20 voorbij.

Bij de kanshebbers een artiest die mij totaal onbekend was. Mehro? Ik ontdekte het nummer in een playlist met promising youngsters, al snel stond het een paar keer op repeat. 't Heeft wel iets.

week 19 van 2022 waarin de top 2 nog stand houdt maar Hazel komt wel heel snel omhoog, qua binnenkomers is het even afwachten wat die gaan doen de komende weken. Wel 5 maar de hoogste pas op 27.
Brockhoff komt uit Duitsland en ken ik via het Orinoco steunfonds. Daar dient ze weliswaar als kanonnenvoer maar voor mij wel een mooie ontdekking, helemaal in mijn straatje. Lekker pop/rock gitaarplaatje.
Sarah Bernstein klinkt een beetje duits maar komt uit New York; haar nieuwe single is de eerste die ik van haar ken en is een mix van pop/rock en roots.
Tape Toy bracht eerder dit jaar hun debuutalbum uit (al is het nog wachten op de fysieke release), daarvan nu nog een single en live-clip. Bekend geluid, niks mis mee dus.
Metric kwam vorige week uit het niks met een nieuwe single, na 2 - voor mij - mislukte albums was de vorige weer terug naar het oude geluid; als ik in 2018 eerder begonnen was met m'n lijst maken dan hadden ze 2 dikke nummers 1 gehad. Met deze nieuwe single kunnen ze nog alle kanten op voor het volgende album. Het feit dat-ie vrij laag binnenkomt geeft al aan dat ik nog twijfel.
Art Moore is een nieuwe band met zangeres Taylor Vick die voorheen muziek maakte als Boy Scouts. Niet dat ik dat kende, de eerste single van deze band bevalt in elk geval wel, dromige singer-songwriterpop.

Rammstein heeft een meesterwerk aangeleverd en krijgt deze week de meeste stemmen en stijgt naar nummer 1.
Hoewel het niet veel scheelde, maar Muse daalt deze week naar nummer 2.
De nummer 3 is voor Stromae, hij blijft daar staan.
Nummer 11 is wellicht een nieuw nummer voor jullie, lekkere goa-trance:

Binnen De Lijntjes 07/05/2022 (week 19)

Gisterochtend begon mijn favoriete radioprogramma (De Taalstaat) enigszins clichématig met de Nederlandse inzending voor het Eurovisiesongfestival. Het was echter dit moment dat voor mij het kwartje viel voor het nummer dat vijf weken lang in de reservebank bivakkeeerde.

De hoogste nieuwe is voor Heather Nova, die met een EP of CD met covers gaat komen en gezien de tot nu toe uitgebrachte singles hoop je dat het een CD wordt. Prachtige vertolking van een sowieso al erg mooi National-nummer.

Dan nog twee electronische nieuwe binnenkomers, waar ik graag Mausie en Dance Lover op attent maak. Zowel het Tsjechische Bratři als het Duitse GHEIST bracht vorig jaar een uitstekende plaat uit en het nieuwe werk doet daar nauwelijks voor onder.

SPOTLIGHT: Hoi ik ben weer eens van de partij. Ik ben er een paar maanden uit geweest, was even helemaal klaar (met alles en iedereen), maar ik heb toch de routine van de wekelijkse Afrekening gemist. En ik voel me geroepen om het rockgehalte van de lijst wat in bedwang te houden met bonkende beats en sappige synths.
