Toch al wel een handvol albums voorbij zien komen (De la Soul, Suzanne Vega, Gil Scott-Heron & Brian Jackson - 1980 en nog een paar) waarbij ik dacht; oh ja, dat was ook binnen de jaren 80 en die had er ook bij gekund. Keuze te over voor een mooie top 50.

Bij elk nieuw rijtje bedenk ik mij weer allemaal albums die ik er ook bij had kunnen zetten. Voor de jaren negentig ga ik er toch eens een uurtje voor uitrekken...:)

De jaren 80. Het decennium waarin volwassen hiphopalbums begonnen uit te komen. Meeste in mijn lijstje is dan ook van de tweede helft van de 80s, met 1988 als topjaar. Michael Jackson er twee keer tussen als eerste artiest die thuis vroeger veel werd gedraaid en van wie ik de muziek altijd ben blijven waarderen. En nog een heel goed soulalbum van O.V. Wright.
