The Unforgettable Fire wordt wel vaak genoemd, maar zelden hoog. Ter vergelijking: de nummer 5 is slechts één keer vaker genoemd, de nummer 10 zelfs één keer minder dan TUF. En zo eindigt TUF voor het eerst buiten de top 20.

Afgaande op de lijst tot nu toe waren de jaren 80 een stuk somberder dan ik me herinner.

En gek genoeg word ik van genoemde The Cure albums, nou net niet neerslachtig, maar dat komt met name door de instrumentatie (riffs en basloopjes). Toegegeven Seventeen Seconds is wat lichter.
Graceland (Afrikaanse klanken), So (met name de bas van Tony Levin), Born in the USA (vrolijke R&R met enig melancholisch gevoel) en It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back (beetje genre variatie) word ik nog het meest blij van hoewel ook die albums qua onderwerpen niet geheel vrij zijn van 80's depression.
