Een en ander gaat ten koste van de tweede Porcupine Tree (Up the Downstair) en van Rides Nowhere.

Correct. Dat zie je wel vaker, dat op de originele Amerikaanse uitvoeringen van Britse albums* er singles bijstaan die in het Britse thuisland nooit op betreffend album zijn verschenen (of dat de hele volgorde van de songs is veranderd of de beste tracks van twee albums zijn samengevoegd, maar daar word ik juist kotsziek van). Bij een latere remastering of rerelease zie je dat de verschillen tussen de Britse en Amerikaanse tracks soms weer worden bijgetrokken.

*bijv. de song 'This Charming Man' op het Amerikaanse debuutalbum van The Smiths of 'Blue Monday' op de Amerikaanse uitvoering van New Order album 'Power, Corruption and Lies'.

Het probleem is dat ik niet weet welk album ik er dan zou moeten uithalen. Operation: Mindcrime die de top 50 niet haalt van de jaren '80 vind ik ook wel niet kunnen, zeldzaam goed conceptalbum en nog wat beter dan Empire.
