Vandaag weer met een begeleidend tekstje, de afgelopen weken daar iets te druk voor (Iets met Scandinavië op een ander ver weg gestopt forum, Poetertjes weet waar het over gaat )
De top 10 lijkt nog erg op die van vorige week, behalve dat Radiohead nu op 1 staat en Alt-J naar 2.
De afgelopen weken zijn The Deep, Sober en This Light (van Radiohead light) doorgestegen naar een top5 plek.
Willow Beats stijgt deze week ook weer door. Wolf Alice blijft staan; Yuk Foo is best leuk, maar om de een of andere rede vind het toch klinken alsof het van een beginnend bandje is; ik weet niet wat het is. Op 8 het beste nummer van het nieuwe album van Lorde, ik zag dat anderen het ook in hun lijstje hadden staan, dus ik doe ook maar alsof ik denk dat het een single is.
Net buiten de top10 nog Ibeyi, maar het liedje wordt wel iedere keer leuker.
Een plekje daaronder de hoogste nieuwe binnenkomer: Warhaus. Net als bij Balthazar duurde het even voordat het kwartje gevallen was; wat een geweldig nummer is het eigenlijk.
De nieuwe QOTSA is leuk, maar ik ben nog niet heel erg overtuigd.
Dan de tweede nieuwe binnenkomer: de Arctic Monkeys fans van Airways; uit het lijstje van musician.
Daaronder Annabel Allum, uit het tiplijstje van Poetertjes, ik vond eerst de stem en de muziek niet heel goed matchen, maar inmiddels ben ik daar aan gewend en is het best een goed liedje.
En tot slot de nieuwe single van de RHCP; ik had het gemist, maar wederom musician die hem in zijn lijstje heeft. En de RHCP hebben eigenlijk geen slechte nummers; nou ja alleen Hump the Bump.

1 Calvin Harris – Feels Ja echt, Calvin Harris, met Pharell; twee helden die een beetje te veel in het commerciële verzeild zijn geraakt, maar dit vind ik toch wel weer leuk. Had Katy Perry vervangen door een zangeres met een iets herkenbare, iets meer laidback, stem (Tove Lo, Anne-marie) dan had het in mijn lijstje gekomen. Calvin Harris durft wel samen te werken met zangeressen met aparte stemmen getuige zijn samenwerking met Jessie Reyez

Drie nieuwe binnenkomers en een nogal logge kopgroei. Alleen Offa Rex weet door te stoten naar boven. De single van Tellef Raabe is lekkere new wave met - zoals Gobsmag noemt - een vleugje Morrissey. Declan McKenna is een singersongwriter die wordt getipt in de OOR. Catchy nummer met een verrassende laatste minuut. Queens of the Stone Age klinkt gewoon weer vertrouwd lekker.

Terwijl de beide nieuwe singles mijn top 20 niet halen, bereikt Arcade Fire met Everything now mijn eerste plaats. En dat is elf jaar na de vorige nummer 1 hit (Wake up), dat is best opvallend (al zijn er wel sterkere voorbeelden, zoals Yes in 2011 en 1983).

Dank Freek voor deze tip, erg leuk bandje. Wist niet dat ze een nieuwe single hadden.

Het is lang geleden dat het zo dringen was om de topplaatsen in de lijst. Niets springt er écht tussenuit, al maanden lang is dat het geval. Of luister ik dit jaar meer muziek dan anders? Deze week The Killers met hun nieuwe hit als hoogste nieuwe binnenkomer, maar onderstaande videoclip is natuurlijk veel leuker

Damn, ik twijfel over deze...
Ik ben m'n nieuwe lijst aan het samenstellen en wil daarin "Miles Away" van Feeder opnemen; die kwam ik tegen in Spotify's Discover Weekly. Nu blijkt het een nummer te zijn dat uit 2012 stamt en nu toegevoegd wordt aan de reissue van het album Generation Freakshow, uit 2012 dus, als een van negen bonustracks.
Tot zover niets aan de hand, want dan doet Feeder gewoon een Radioheadje.
Alleen: dit nummer blijkt in 2012 ook al toegevoegd te zijn aan de Britse iTunes-versie van het album; alleen daar dus.
Heeft iemand hier een mening over? Opnemen, of weglaten?

Het gaat erom of het een single is. Daarover lees ik niets in jouw toelichting, dus ik kan er zo verder niets over zeggen.

Nederland en België maken de dienst uit! De Amsterdamse band My Baby pakt de nummer 1-positie, terwijl België het zilver en brons in de wacht sleept. Verder heb ik ook nog een mooi liedje van Lakshmi ontdekt dat ik in een van jullie lijstjes tegenkwam en die gaat volgende week waarschijnlijk ook binnenkomen, mits ik weer met een lijstje kom uiteraard.

De liedjes die in dit topic nog niet eerder genoemd zijn zal ik even kort introduceren:

Cosmic Radio van My Baby is een soort soulvolle, funky popmuziek waar ik eigenlijk nauwelijks een passende omschrijving van kan geven.
Bangsar, de laatste nieuwe single van Blood Red Shoes is elektronischer dan we van ze gewend zijn, maar energiek als altijd.

Na twee weken vakantie (en dus geen lijst) heb ik deze week weer een lijst gemaakt. Tijdens de vakantie heb ik niet veel tijd gehad om nieuwe muziek te luisteren, maar doordat een aantal grote (en favoriete) artiesten (The National, Arcade Fire en Radiohead) nieuwe nummers hebben uitgebracht is er toch behoorlijk veel gewijzigd deze week: acht nieuwe binnenkomers (waarvan vier in de top 6!) en vijf sterke stijgers (veel gedraaide nummers van/naar/in Denemarken).

De top 2 blijft voor nu ongewijzigd, maar met nieuwe binnenkomers op de posities 3 t/m 6 is het te verwachten dat één daarvan volgende week gaat doorstoten naar de nummer 1 positie. Maar welke gaat het worden?
