Tiger Moth Tales heeft het helaas duidelijk moeilijk in deze overigens ook erg sterke ladder.
Hoewel ik vind dat hier de muziek an sich beoordeeld moet worden, vind ik het nog wel leuk om even iets over deze bijzondere artiest te vertellen. Tiger Moth Tales is namelijk geen band, maar eigenlijk alleen Pete Jones. Hij bespeelt namelijk alle instrumenten (met een hele kleine uitzondering voor een gastartiest) zelf op zijn albums. De geweldige saxofoon is dus ook van hem. Dat is op zich al bijzonder, maar wetende dat Pete Jones ook nog eens blind is maakt het nog bijzonderder wat mij betreft. De muziek wordt wellicht niet beter of mooier door dit soort verhalen, maar mijn waardering ervoor wordt dan nog wel groter.
