Het klopt uiteraard helemaal wat je zegt Edgar18 en ik erg me daar ook wel eens aan. Misschien is dat ergeren aan de andere kant stiekem ook wel de kracht van het concept. Het is natuurlijk simpel om bijvoorbeeld die eliminatie ronde te skippen maar juist de discussie die daardoor ontstaat vind ik dan wel weer de aantrekkelijke kant ervan. Ik vind het vooral mooi als mensen een warm pleidooi voor bepaalde nummers houden. Voor mij soms een reden om een nummer te gaan luistern. Ook het eclectische karakter van een lijst als dit vind ik wel aantrekkelijk. Ik heb deze week In a Silent Way / It's About That Time van Miles Davis ontdekt. Dat gebeurt bij mij niet zo snel in een Miles Davis Greatest hits.

Overigens denk ik dat het voor de einduitslag uiteindelijk niet zoveel uitmaakt. Het is denk ik inherent aan een 'beste' verkiezing. Ook bij onze MuMe 2000, om maar te zwijgen over de Radio 2 Top 200, is er vaak de kritiek dat afwijkende songs weinig kans hebben. Als er veel mensen stemmen kom je vanzelf bij een soort van gemiddelde smaak uit. En bij herkenning. Daar zit ook de kracht van dit soort verkiezingen.

Maar als iemand een goed idee heeft hoor ik het graag.
