Uit de categorie "wie zit hier nog op te wachten?"; op 4 april komt het nieuwe album van Garbage, Bleed like me geheten, uit.

Ben toch wel benieuwd naar de nieuwe single....

een nieuw album van Garbage? Dat is ook al lang geleden zeg...

Misschien doen ze ook wel zo'n coole cover, die zijn tegenwoordig vreselijk hip en gaaf. Ik stel voor: 'The Reflex' van Duran Duran.

Ik vind Planet Earth of Girls On Film meer iets voor hun.

Op 3 mei komt het nieuwe album van The Raveonettes uit, Pretty in black geheten.

"Well we are gonna make the record FIRST and then license as we own the masters then. We have alot of interest but they want to hear it first. No problem with us. The new stuff we are writing is really fresh and not just the 4 minute pop-rock stuff we have done. It's still VERY Toto but its also very experimental and progressive and aggressive. We have written 6 things we really dig and we are just doing polaroids of the stuff as we write it. Once we have 3 more weeks of steady writing we will scrutinize everything and only pick what we think is the very best stuff and then begin the recording process. It's been exciting and fun to write all new music and we think that you guys will be pleasantly surprised at what us old fuckers can still do! hahaha. Hoping for a personal best and anyone that thinks Toto is some pussy soft rock band will eat their words! hahaha. There is still VERY melodic stuff but the songs have alot more sections and are longer. It's very early yet but we have found a direction that we all dig alot. Everyone is contributing.
Oh yeah, Paich is VERY involved in this record !!!! Greg has popped in and lent a hand and will be a part of the overall thing too. We want Steve P. to add his touches when it comes time so this will be, what we hope, a classic Toto record.
I hope the record will come out in the Fall but it wont come out till we think its ready but sooner than later. There is already a major worlwide tour being booked for 2006. In the meantime we are gonna record alot and do weekends in the USA and a few gigs here and there to keep the chops up and keep the project funded. We want NO ONE telling us what to do or how to do it.

Raveonettes, leuk. Zal wel weer veel van hetzelfde zijn, maar ik vind ze toch wel charmant op de een of andere manier.

Op 30 mei komt het nieuwe album van Oasis uit. Don't believe the truth daat dat ding heten en de eerste single van dat album heet Lyla.

Op 23 mei komt het nieuwe album van Four tet uit, dat Everything Ecstatic als titel heeft.

Coldplay's new album X&Y will be released by Parlophone on 6th June, preceded by the single Speed Of Sound on 23rd May.

The follow up to 2002's Brit and Grammy award winning 'A Rush Of Blood To The Head', X&Y was recorded over the past year at studios in the UK and has been produced by Danton Supple (Morrissey, Elbow), Ken Nelson (Badly Drawn Boy, Kings of Convenience) and the band.

"We wanted to try new things out, to move our sound along," says Jonny, "but the focus remains on the songs, and Chris's voice is sounding amazing. Everyone is playing at the top of their game."

Nieuw album THE CORAL

Het nieuwe album van The Coral gaat 'The Invisible Invasion' heten en komt uit op 23 mei. Frontman James Skelly zegt dat de groep meer dan een jaar gesleuteld heeft om het beste uit hun vorige platen te combineren tot één geheel. 'The Invisible Invasion' werd geproducet door Geoff Barrow en Adrian Utley, ook bekend als de heren achter Portishead. De eerste single heet 'In The Morning', en zal te horen zijn vanaf 9 mei.

Nieuw album PEARL JAM bijna af

Pearl Jam is bijna rond met de opnames van hun nieuw album. Volgens de groep zal de plaat eind mei officieel uitgebracht worden en volgt er deze zomer ook een uitgebreide tour. ‘Worldwide Suicide’, ‘Marker’ en ‘Cold Concession’ zijn enkele nummers die op de plaat zullen staan. Drummer Matt Cameron voegt er ook nog aan toe dat het nieuwe album behoorlijk up tempo en hard zal klinken.

Weezer Set Release Date and U.S. Tour For Make Believe

After months of delays (so many of them, in fact, that they've rolled over into years) in the completion of their fifth album, it's sort of hard to believe that geek-core elder statesmen Weezer are actually about to deliver the follow up to 2002's Maladroit. And not only does the self-produced/Rick Rubin-mentored "Make Believe" have a confirmed release date of May 10.. (de rest is over US Tour dates, niet belangrijk voor ons )

Radiohead Begin Work on Their Seventh LP

After two years away from the studio, Radiohead have begun working on new music again, planting the seeds of what will likely become the follow-up to 2003's Hail to the Thief. A cryptic message from frontman Thom Yorke, posted earlier this month to the band's official webboard, suggested that this may be the case, however vaguely, reading, "hey weve started work. (speaking of cookies) no really." Now there's confirmation from guitarist Jonny Greenwood to back up the gibberish.

"Everything starts with songs, and with Thom, and with the excitement you can get in the band when you hear new music, and you know you've got the chance to watch it mutate and change," Greenwood told NME. "There's nothing like that, nothing as exciting. We're rehearsing at the moment, and again it's fun. We all want to push forward, and when you have five people who are all like that, you couldn't ask for a better thing."

Het gerucht gaat dat er binnenkort een DVD box uitgebracht wordt met de titel 'The U2 Live Compendium'. Deze box bevat de volgende concerten:
DVD 1 - Red Rocks Complete
DVD 2 - Zoo TV Sydney
DVD 3 - Popmart Sarajevo
DVD 4 - Elevation Notre Dame

Er zal ook een 5 disc versie in een metalen box verschijnen met op de 5e DVD het legendarische oudejaarsconcert uit Dublin van 31-12-1989. Verder bevatten alle DVD's extra's zoals: beelden van andere optredens en interviews. De Elevation disc bevat daarnaast ook nog 'pc' materiaal.

De heren van Depeche mode werken momenteel aan een nieuw album. De plaat wordt (en dat doet me deugd) geproduceerd door Ben Hillier, die de laatste albums van Elbow en Doves produceerde.

The White Stripes nieuwe album gaat Get Me Behind Satan heten.. (coole titel)
