Editie #2 van editie #2 is uiteraard de 70s. Het decennia waarin de prog op z’n hoogtepunt kwam. Diezelfde prog weggeslagen werd door de punk. Het decennia waarin The Beatles uit elkaar gingen, The Doors en The Jimi Hendrix Experience noodgedwongen uit elkaar moesten gaan. Het jaar waarin mijn favoriete bands als Dire Straits, Supertramp, Pink Floyd, Eagles, Toto, Fleetwood Mac (en zo kan ik nog wel even doorgaan) hun opmars begonnen of in dit decennium hun hoogtepunt beleefden. Kortom, de 60s maken heel duidelijk plaats voor de 70s en heel veel overlap verwacht ik eerlijk gezegd niet.

Het spel is vrij simpel:
* Maak een top 20 van platen uit de jaren '70

* De albums moeten óf hier op musicmeter aangegeven staan als 1970-1979 (ongeacht het type album of het materiaal dat erop staat) óf uitsluitend(!) opnames bevatten die uit de jaren '70 stammen (naar eigen inzicht!).

* Ieder type album is toegestaan, dus ook EP’s en verzamelaars. De kans dat zo’n album medestanders vindt is daarentegen erg twijfelachtig.

* Noteren gaat als volgt:
1. <.ARTIEST> - <.ALBUM> (jaartal is optioneel)
Let op de . achter het nummer en de titel dient geschreven te worden zoals die op musicmeter aangegeven is (Dus incl. de woorden zoals The). Het beste is dus gewoon om het rechtstreeks van musicmeter te kopiëren.

En evenals vorig jaar, let op de Duitse en Engelse versies van de Kraftwerk albums. Vorig jaar zijn we vrijwel unaniem overeengekomen om deze bij elkaar op te tellen dus dat gaan we dit jaar ook gewoon weer doen.

Als iedereen nou unaniem de Engelse vertaling neemt. Ten minste bij The Man Machine/Die Mensch-machine. Die overige komen allemaal precies achter elkaar te staan.

Overigens vorig jaar geen Kraftwerk, als ik het me goed herinner, bij de beste 40.

Ben ik het helemaal mee eens, maar ik meen te herinneren dat er vorig jaar toch een paar dwarsliggers waren. Blijkbaar te weinig om Kraftwerk überhaupt aan een positie te helpen die bij hun status past, dat is dan weer jammer.
