Chaka brengt het tot een 98e positie. Nu een liedje van een Schots singer-songwriter. Bracht in 1967 zijn eerste werk uit, maar werd pas echt opgemerkt in 1976 toen hij zijn album Year Of The Cat uitbracht. In 1977 was dit album een voltreffer, evenals de singles Year Of The Cat en On The Border. Time Passages uit dit jaar deed het minder, maar is misschien wel een betere plaat dan de beroemde voorganger. De titelsong werd op single uitgebracht, maar deed niets. Wel een fraai vriendelijk liedje die vooral past op een winterse witte dag als deze.

Al Stewart op nr.92. De volgende is een Engels - Amerikaanse rockband die opgericht wordt in 1976. Gitarist Mick Jones komt uit Spooky Tooth, Ian Mcdonald uit King Crimson en de Amerikaanse vocalist Lou Gramm sluit zich ook aan. In ''77'' scoort de band bij ons redelijk met Cold As Ice. Het duurt dan uiteindelijk tot 1982 tot men in Nederland weer een hitnotering te pakken hebt. Gedurende dat decenium zal dat met balladachtig werk meer gebeuren. In Amerika kan de band echter vanaf het begin al rekenen op veel hits. Dit is er één van en is de 1e single van het album Double Vision. Hier kwam het niet verder dan de tipparade. Uiteindelijk toch een bekende rocker.

De mannen van Foreigner op plek 72. Nog 7 nummers te gaan en dan vind ik het wel mooi geweest betreft de 1978 lijst. Next: Een Britse band en eind jaren 60 ontstaan. In den beginne hevig de progrock omarmt, maar na het vertrek van frontman Peter Gabriel gaat het langzaam maar zeker de toegankelijkere popkant uit. Als ook gitarist Steve Hackett in 1977 de groep verlaat, gaat men als trio verder. Het nummer wat nu volgt wordt de 1e echte hit hier in NL en in de 80's volgen er meer en meer. Zanger/drummer Phil Collins is dan ook als soloartiest zeer succesvol en daar plukt de groep zeker de vruchten van.
