Ik heb behoorlijk zitten schuiven met de bovenste drie om uiteindelijk toch de iconische song van Cash te verkiezen. Voor mij werd het nooit meer beter dan Folsom Prison Blues.

3. Luke the Drifter (Hank Williams) - Ramblin' Man
Gelukkig is een van Hanks mooiste niet over het hoofd gezien.

6. Dinah Washington - Mad About the Boy
[i]Na Fats staat ook Dinah in onze gezamenlijke lijst op dezelfde positie als in de mijne. Toevallig!

7. Fats Domino - Ain't It a Shame
Spelleider zaaf hoort veel hetzelfde kunstje. Daar ben ik het best mee eens. Maar, ik kan dat kunstje dus wel waarderen. Zeker in dit nummer, misschien wel zijn beste.

9. Chuck Berry and His Combo - Maybellene
Kon bijna niet missen maar toch fijn dat ie erbij staat. Volgende editie verwacht ik hem op het podium (de hoogste trede?).

12. Elvis Presley - That's All Right
Dat is nog een binnenkomen met een klap.

13. Ray Charles - I've Got a Woman
Deze had ik iets hoger in de eindlijst verwacht. Blijft toch wel erg lekker.

Wat mij betreft zijn beste nummer uit deze periode. Ja, beter dan die (andere) klassieker ja!

16. Nat "King" Cole - Unforgettable
Ik denk altijd dat ik niet zo'n Nat fan ben maar dit is toch de tweede editie op rij dat ik een plekje voor hem in moet ruimen in mijn lijst.

Als I'm Your Hoochie Cooche Man er instaat dan weet je dat Manish Boy ook niet kan missen.

Fijne klassieker, leuk dat ie erbij staat.

Dust My Broom had ik er de vorige editie al instaan, ik prefereer die versie. Met Tutti Frutti heb ik nooit veel gehad. Iconisch enzo, dat natuurlijk wel. Opvallende misser in de lijst, mijn nummer twee!

Ik ga vanavond ook eens een poging wagen. 56-58 moet niet zo moeilijk zijn - hoewel, een top 20 maar? Teveel keus.
Ik heb de eerste pagina's gelezen met de discussies over b-kantjes dus zover ben ik bij.
Zijn er nog andere regels, bv. over aantal keer een artiest in je lijst of mag ik ook bv. 20x De Selvera's doen?

Voor zover mij bekend niet. Met net tien keer De Selvera's zal ik dan ook voor 1962-1964 mijn eerste lijstje indienen.

Nee er zijn verder geen regels.
De single naar keuze moet op RYM staan, binnen het gewenste tijdvak vallen en vermeld worden met volledige (JUISTE) artiestnaam - titel A-kant (eventueel titel B-kant als deze van belang is bij de keuze) en releasejaar.
