Mijn meest gedraaide nummer van de laatste 15 jaar als ik last.fm moet geloven (en waarom niet). Briljante tekst, achteloos gezongen en met een enorme vaart (nog benadrukt door het bijna geheel ontbreken van een outro. Vooral de regel "why pamper life's complexities when the leather runs smooth on the passenger seat" vind ik geweldig, wat een joie de vivre.

En toch niet mijn #1.

Alle singles heb ik op 7" behalve 13 en 20 en de nummers 2 en 4 maar die twee wel op 12".
Al twee 4AD singles, nummers 2 en 13 (hier nog voorbijgestreefd door Stiff op 1, 3, 5)

In 1983 kreeg ik m'n eerste radio/cassetterecorder en begon toen met opnemen van de radio, op m'n eerste bandje stond in elk geval al Bow wow wow (en Nena volgens mij ook).
Verder natuurlijk eindelijk Tracey Ullman zelf, en ook nog een Tracey origineel, op 3 wat ook een hit werd (in de UK) voor Kirsty MacColl, in tegenstelling tot andere nummers van Kirsty die beide opgenomen hebben.
Vorige week had ik het al over m'n top 100 allertijden, in 1984 maakte ik m'n eerste met zoals gezegd Nur geträumt op 1 en toen stond Breakaway al op 54. In 1986 zette ik Breakaway op 1 en voor het gemak heb ik dat sindsdien maar zo gelaten.
