Natalie Imbruglia stond al diverse keren in mijn jaarlijstjes; ze bracht haar beste album in 2005 uit met dus ook de nummer 1 single en daarnaast ook het titelnummer.
De single van de Arctic Monkeys werd me door een (engelse) verkoper in de handen gedrukt op een platenbeurs, moest wel gewoon betalen natuurlijk, maar op basis van wat ik bij hem kocht vond hij dat ik die ook moest hebben. Nou, dat viel niet tegen.
Chalets kocht ik daar ook, volgens mij op de gok en dat blijkt een heerlijk electropopplaatje te zijn wat een beetje doet denken aan B-52's qua ge/verdeelde man/vrouw zang. Het album destijds in Londen gekocht toen ik daar een paar dagen was, die was toen net uit .
Olivia Ruiz ontdekte ik met dit nummer op de franse tv, de live versie vind ik geweldig, daarmee vergeleken is de singleversie misschien wat vlak maar toch zeker het vermelden waard.
Space Siren is de band van ex-Seesaw en Zoppo leden Corno en Ineke die voor de geboorte van hun kind een plaatje maakten onder deze naam op het geweldige indielabel Transformed Dreams waar ook die bands hun releases op hadden. Een paar jaar later begonnen ze een echte band met oa de zangeres van AC Berkheimer en haalden toen de naam weer van stal. Een paar ep's en 2 albums maakten ze, net na uitkomen van het 2e album bleek dat Corno ongeneeslijk ziek was, hij overleed eind 2014.
