Met een gigantische eindsprint mogelijk gemaakt door de laatste lijstjes wist een Belg met een Franstalige nummer te winnen in een lijst die verder door hoofdzakelijk Amerikaanse liedjes genomineerd wordt.
2 nominaties minder dan de nummer 2 , Ne me quitte pas had wel vaak heel hoge scores.

Prachtig lied uit 1959 over het einde van een relatie, tja wie kon er met zoveel passie zingen als Brel.
Jacques Brel alleen met een pianist,
Het lied is eindeloos gecoverd zelfs door Nina Simone (ook wonderschoon in het Frans) en Edith Piaf (die dan wel heel dichtbij komt) maar niemand haalt het bij het origineel van Brel.
