Een flinke sprong naar 74 punten maken wij nu, Angel stond de gehele week bovenaan maar werd op de laatste dag ingehaald door de nummer 1.

Horace Andy zou eigenlijk een cover van The clash (Straight yo hell) ,komen inzingen, maar omdat Andy zeer gelovig is had hij moeite met het H woord, die 2 jongens van MA improviseerde ter plekke Angel en de rest is geschiedenis.
Donkere sound, donkere beats en dan die stem van Horace Andy, geweldig lied en ook dat einde is zo mooi.

En dan nu nog Teardrop?

Top !! Ik heb Angel ook op 2.

Vind maar n matig nummer..beter ander nummer van dat album met Horace..Teardrop wel natuurlijk..maar niet in mijn top 10..

Angel heb ik op 13, ik heb nog een andere MA dus wie weet.

Neutral Milk Hotel heb ik 51222883 staan dus net buiten de punten...

Dit vind ik ook niet veel. Niet in mijn top-100. Teardrop wel een stuk beter, dus die zal dan wel op 1 staan. Wel wat MA-overkill dan.

Vind sowieso beetje matige top 10..beetje softe nummers ook..vind ik persoonlijk dan..PJ..2x placebo..2x manics..liever 2x manics gehad in de holy bible periode bv..

Alhoewel..mijn top 10 bevat ook veel softe nummers..alleen van andere artiesten

Met 7 puntjes wipt Teardrop over Angel heen, hoe dan ook Massive Attack is gekozen door maar liefst 13 deelnemers tot de glorieuze winnaar van deze editie.

Ach ja Mezzanine is een prachtig album van geluidskunstenaars met een goede neus voor vocalisten.
Elizabeth Fraser ( met Cocteau Twins faam) heeft natuurlijk een bijzondere en prachtige stem en zingt dit lied op een tapijt van fraaie klanken naar grote hoogte.
Andrew Vowles wilde eigenlijk Madonna Teardrop laten zingen (Madonna wilde maar al te graag) maar de andere 2 leden (Robert Del Naja en Grantley Marshall) wilde Liz en bij 2 tegen 1 wint het duo.
Frazer schreef de tekst die geïnspireerd is door de plotse dood van Jeff Buckley.

Liz en Jeff hebben ook kort iets gehad..mooie nummer 1..heb nog overwogen net als Air..maar toch niet gedaan..

1x toch maar? Titelnummer van dat album viel volgens mij buiten de top 10 door een foutje van Rudi S (of eigenlijk stond die er onterecht in vanwege dat foutje), of zakte die slechts naar de 10e plek?

volgens mij kieperde Placebo door dat foutje van Rudi S uit de top 10 hoor.

Wat een toeval, daar had ik ze ook staan!
