Wat een lied en naar mijn gevoel hebben hierna Morrissey en Marr nooit meer een betere gemaakt.
Daar sloot ik de post bij de winnaar van 1986 mee af.

Opmerkelijk is toch wel dat dit nummer in de decennium top op nummer 14 is geëindigd.
Nu staat dit meesterwerkje toch weer op een Smithswaardige plaats en het was hier dan ook mijn nummer 2.

Zo'n weg is ook best smal.... Balen zeg: sterkte Lion!

2e werd A Forest bij de verkiezing lied vh decennium 1980-1989 en nu 3e in de eeuwlijst.
Dit lied kwam eerst traag op gang, maar gedurende de week ging het behoorlijk lopen.
Geen nummer 1 positie, maar Telamon en Nelis hadden deze wel op 2 staan.
Prachtig muziekstuk uit de begintijd van The Cure.

In de decenniumlijst nog een plaatsje onder A Forest, nu een plaatsje hoger (het is ook maar 1 punt verschil).
Deze hoge positie van New Order is voor mij toch wel de verrassing van de week, eigenlijk al dat New Order voorloper Joy Division helemaal heeft overvleugeld.
Heerlijke track en wat scoren de jaren '80.

En nu is het wachten op How Soon is Now...

Mooi nummer Blue Monday..maar niet overwogen..dom achteraf..

Over DE song van het jaar is natuurlijk weinig discussie, de meeste nominaties , de meeste 10en , met afstand de meeste punten.
Dit schreef ik in het jaar topic en het is eigenlijk weer zo, echter er een uitzondering slechts sheep zetten hem op de 1e plaats.
Toch is dit inderdaad publiekslieveling nummer 1 en als wij ooit een top van alle decenniumtoppen zouden spelen gaat deze hoge ogen gooien.

Ja deze voorspelling plaatse ik toen dit lied op de 1e plaats eindigde bij de song vh decennium (1980-1989) ook de song vh jaar 1984 was toen al binnen.
Prachtig lied, wat een sfeer en wat een zang, immens populair in dittopic en dus met een voorsprong van 101 punten een dik verdiende winnaar.
