- LIZ: weer zo'n catchy bubblegum PC-deuntje, dat volgende week doorstoot naar de top 10 of er meteen weer zal uitliggen.

21: Sinds een paar weken heeft Spotify de 'Discover weekly'-playlists, waarin elke week tips staan die helemaal op jouw profiel zijn gebaseerd. Neon Indian viel me deze week gelijk positief op. Annie kwam een paar maandjes terug uit op single en is een heerlijk licht-psychedelisch zomers jaren '80 synthpop-liedje met een reggaeritme. Heerlijke tip van Spotify.
31: Ryley Walker maakt nog steeds bijzondere fraaie folk. Prachtige stem ook. Zijn album staat hoog in de albumjaarlijst over 2015 hier, maar vooralsnog ben ik de enige bij wie hij hier chart. Onbegrijpelijk eigenlijk.
33: Ilya Santana is een discoproducer die ik de laatste jaren wel vaker ben tegengekomen. Dit doet me nog het meest denken aan de soloplaten van Giorgio Moroder van eind jaren '70.
34: Calvin Harris gaat ook alle genres af. Begonnen met indiedisco, verder gegaan met dancepop en daarna platte edm is hij nu aanbeland bij jaren '90 retrohouse en dat kan ik eigenlijk wel waarderen. Na Outside en Pray To God is dit de prima derde single op rij.
37: Mooi ingetogen Frans liedje van Zoufris Maracas. ZIjn vorige single Et Si Demain haalde ook al mijn lijstje. Misschien toch eens zijn album opzoeken.
39: Adam Lambert's Ghost Town hoor ik vaak op de radio en vind ik een behoorlijke goede popplaat. Zal waarschijnlijk niet lang in mijn charts staan, maar vind het een prima nummer - mooie opgebouwd en een mooie productie.
40: Low vind ik meer een album- dan een singleband (en nog meer een band om live te zien). Hun vorige single haalde het net niet, deze net wel. En de derde van de nieuwe plaat is inmiddels ook al verschenen.

Ik heb de laatste tijd wel wat goede nummers ontdekt, maar ook niet enorm goed dus bovenaan verandert er voorlopig niet veel. Mijn nummer 1 heeft nu wel een (bloederige) video!
Nieuw zijn de nieuwe single van Florence, een schattig liedje van een Amerikaanse singer-songwriter, een nummer van CHVRCHES dat al enkele weken op de deur van mijn lijst stond te kloppen en een leuk zomers plaatje van een Griekse producer.

Het is op zich toch keurig, dat Alice 43 jaar na het origineel met een eigen cover weer eens naar de eerste plaats stijgt. Hij was zijn tijd blijkbaar ver vooruit....
Verder weer alleen maar aanbevelenswaardige nieuwe singles. A Polaroid View heeft een wat stroeve start maar gaat dan al gauw als een speer.
En de Stereophonics hebben de afgelopen twee jaar mijn hart wel veroverd.
Gelukkig hoeven we met een degelijke stroom aan goede muziek voorlopig niet aan nieuwe nummers van Justin Bieber en Madonna, die ook deze week voorbij kwamen.

Het is op zich toch keurig, dat Alice 43 jaar na het origineel met een eigen cover weer eens naar de eerste plaats stijgt. Hij was zijn tijd blijkbaar ver vooruit....
Verder weer alleen maar aanbevelenswaardige nieuwe singles. A Polaroid View heeft een wat stroeve start maar gaat dan al gauw als een speer.
En de Stereophonics hebben de afgelopen twee jaar mijn hart wel veroverd.
Gelukkig hoeven we met een degelijke stroom aan goede muziek voorlopig niet aan nieuwe nummers van Justin Bieber en Madonna, die ook deze week voorbij kwamen.

Ik ben blij dat The Tea Party hier steeds meer aanhangers vindt. Zoals ik het nu ervaar, wordt het vast de beste single van het jaar in mijn top 20.

Hoe komt het toch dat (het fantastische) Oino hier zo vaak in de lijstjes staat? Dat nummer is toch al vele maanden oud? Of is dat nu pas in Nederland een hit misschien?

Het verbaast me dat het inderdaad al uit is van midden februari, op StuBru toch ook pas vaak gedraaid vanaf juni/juli. Blijft een lekker nummer

Omdat het natuurlijk een fantastisch nummer blijft en mensen er naar blijven luisteren.
Verder weet ik ook niet precies waarom LA Priest in dit topic pas eind mei op de radar kwam. Arrie had Party Zute / Learning to Love (de tweede single) als eerste in zijn lijstje staan. Een aantal weken kwam Oino bij herman binnen. Users die er regelmatig vroeg bij zijn. Ik denk dat je het antwoord moet zoeken tussen 'er is komt elke week zoveel goede muziek uit' en 'velen waren Late of the Pier / Sam Eastgate een beetje uit het oog verloren'. Ikzelf kwam LA Priest bijvoorbeeld pas op het spoor omdat hij op de Line-up van Pitch stond. Het hitproces bevat hier vaak ook wel een sneeuwbaleffect omdat veel mensen elkaar lijstjes checken. Verder wat Dimi zegt: Stubru en 3FM zijn ook pas eind juni op de wagen gesprongen, al weet ik niet hoe groot de invloed van de radiozenders op de lijst hier is. Vanaf week 26 scoort Oino trouwens onafgebroken goed. Het is niet zeldzaam dat de populairste singles hier zeker een maand of 3 in de lijst blijven staan. Een half jaar (zoals de meeste grote hits in de Top 40) vinden wij vaak iets te veel van het goede.

The National vind ik een prima band met een aantal (niet alle) goeie singles, die echter allemaal wel hun tijd en draaibeurten nodig hebben bij mij. Met de single van El Vy gaat het denk ik niet lukken. Wel aardig, maar doet me niet heel veel.
