De afgelopen jaren hebben we af en toe een prog KO gespeeld. Wat mij betreft is de tijd gekomen om een en ander eens wat grootser aan te pakken en middels het hier inmiddels beproefde laddersysteem over de duur van (krap) een jaar een prog-toplijst te maken.

Onder voorbehoud van voldoende belangstelling zie ik dat als volgt voor me:
- een startlijst bestaande uit de eerdere succesnummers (bijv. alle nummers die het minstens tot de 3e ronde schopten) uit de Prog Songs KO, Moderne Prog Songs KO en Alternatieve Prog Songs KO
- daarnaast uiteraard een gezond aantal nieuwe nominaties...
- en dan nog wat ontbrekende klassiekers om tot een rond startaantal te komen
- daar maken we dan een aantal ladders van waarin we punten aan onze favoriete nummers uitdelen; best scorende nummers gaan naar de volgende ronde, etc. etc.; 1 niet te grote ladder per dag (het moet allemaal wel een beetje bijbeenbaar blijven)

Is daar belangstelling voor?

Ten slotte een finale waarvan iedereen van de overgebleven 20 nummers een top-20 maakt en deze per pm instuurt. Eindproduct is een top-300.

Er is dan ruimte voor 504 - 243 = 261 nieuwe nummers, in meerderheid nominaties.

Nominatielijstjes van 10 nummers mogen vanaf heden ingediend worden. Daarnaast de vraag: lijkt bovenstaand spelschema (wat ons 282 dagen van de straat zou houden) redelijk? Of is het aantal nummers te groot/klein, zijn de ladders te lang/kort, worden nummers in opeenvolgende rondes te vaak/te weinig herkauwd, is er iets anders op aan te merken...?

Ik zie dat er een tweetal bands zijn met (al) 15 nominaties, zit er een max aan per band/artiest?

Ben ik persoonlijk geen voorstander van... als we dat met zijn allen te veel vinden, nomineren we er gewoon geen/weinig nummers van die bands meer bij.

Als de meerderheid daar anders over denkt, kunnen we er natuurlijk wel een limiet op zetten.

Graag! En dat hoeven dan uiteraard niet per se bovenstaande nummers te zijn.

Ik stel voor max. 4 nummers per ladder. Ben je nog steeds ruim een uur aan het luisteren.

Wat doen we om oeverloze discussies over wat prog is en wat niet, te vermijden? Als het op progarchives staat is het (sowieso) prog? Of wellicht zelfs de regel dat het op progarchives MOET staan?

Waarom staat dit trouwens in de algemene sectie?

Dat ondervangen we met mijn algehele wenk, die ik in dit topic nog vergeten was:

- We gaan niet eindeloos neuzelen over of een nummer nou wel of niet voldoende prog is. Wie echter een lijstje met tien twijfelgevallen denkt in te dienen, moet zich misschien nog eens afvragen of hij zijn vertier niet beter elders kan zoeken.

Goede vraag. Kun je nagaan hoe vaak ik een topic aanmaak...

Hier ook zeker belangstelling en ga me beraden op een nominatielijstje. Nog geen geringe opgave, vooral om te schrappen. Ik neem aan dat voor de nominaties het begrip prog gedefinieerd wordt, door wat de nominateur (als dat een woord is) er maar onder verstaat.

Heb deze pagina gelezen en omdat ik weinig in het forum gedeelte snuffel heb ik geen notie van het "beproefde laddersysteem" zoals omschreven in de openingspost. Maar ik geloof dat het een soort variant is op een liedjescontest?! Een alternatief op het Eurovisie Songfestival met alleen maar Prog liedjes kan ik niet laten lopen natuurlijk. Ik begrijp dat ik 10 liedjes moet nomineren die hier nog niet genoemd zijn, nou dat moet dan snel gebeuren. Ik ga maandag twee weken op vakantie. Zal proberen daarvoor 10 nieuwe Prog rock/metal tips hier te plaatsen. En dan lees ik het wel hoe het verder gaat...
