Als deelnemer aan de 55km. Was een mooie ervaring met een geweldige ambiance, veel publiek, de nodige verkoelingen en versnaperingen, hitte en stortbuien, blaren en weinig slaap. Kwam de feestgangers elke ochtend tegen als we van het station op weg waren naar de start om 4 uur, ook de eerste kilometers waren ze in een walm van alcohollucht langs het parcours te vinden .

Wat mij betreft een van de slechtste ladders van Ronde één. Eigenlijk is Sounds of Contact wel aardig, maar zou in menig Ladder buiten de punten gebleven zijn. Dat een middelmatig nummer van Marillion twee punten pakt, zegt ook veel. Hocus Pocus blijft maar een bijzonder nummer en ook niet hun beste werk. Maar de rest overtuigt ook allerminst. Gorguts brengt wel wat afwisseling in deze ladder, maar Is ook mij wel wat erg veel van het goede.

Dan ben ik de afgelopen dagen dicht bij je in de buurt geweest, was daar overigens geen loper of feestganger (dus van mij kan die zweet- of alcohollucht niet geweest zijn).
Heb je tijdens zo’n wandeling de Spotify nominatie-playlist in je oortjes?
- Mooi jeugdsentiment van de Moody Blues. Is in deze ladder de prijspakker, hoewel ik het tweede deel minder vind.
