Nu ik de twee titels van Yes zie staan herinner ik me nog de opmerkingen over de band vroeger bij ons thuis.
M’n ouwe heer (met respect gesproken) had het niet zo op Yes.
Hij keek al vreemd naar het artwork van de lp-hoes die hij bij m’n pick up zag liggen, bril op het puntje van zijn neus.
‘Kan nooit veel zijn’ was zijn eerste opmerking. Later toen hij wat muziek ervan hoorde werd zijn vooroordeel al gelijk bevestigd:
'Wat een rotherrie is dit toch'. ‘Vind je dat nou mooi’? Nadat ik hem tegensprak dat hij te burgerlijk was om zulke muziek mooi te kunnen vinden was de boot helemaal aan.
'Ketelmuziek'!! riep hij zo hard hij kon en wist niet hoe snel hij de kamer moest verlaten.
Toch leuk dat zulke muziek nu weer na zo’n lange tijd weer tevoorschijn komt.
