Dit moet toch wel de enige toplijst zijn die een nummer bevat van langer dan een uur?!

Toch niet. In betere tijden heeft Light of Day, Day of Darkness ook nog in de algemene MuMeLadder eindlijst gestaan.

Vrij bizar. Hoewel het meest bizarre is dat er niemand een opmerking maakt over de lengte van het 'nummer'. Niet toevallig een ingekorte versie, zoals Tubular Bells?

Dat valt anno nu niet meer na te zoeken, we werkten toen met Grooveshark playlists en je hoefde niet zelf een luisterlink aan te leveren. Al bestaat er inderdaad een soort highlights versie van het nummer die een minuut of tien duurt. Bij gebrek aan bewijs voor het tegendeel, houd ik het er maar op dat men indertijd nog een wat langere aandachtsspanne had dan tegenwoordig.

Is het wel de enige lijst met twee nummers van meer dan een uur dan? Transatlantic - The Whirldwind staat er ook als geheel in.

Green Carnation - Light of Day, Day of Darkness is voor mij wel de mooiste ontdekking tot nu toe van dit spelletje.

Er zou m.b.t. de lengte van de nummers, wellicht ook rekening gehouden kunnen worden met de wat oudere deelnemers in dit spel.
Die hebben vaak niet zo’n lang uithoudingsvermogen meer, (behalve natuurlijk als het om goeie muziek gaat).

- Ronde 5 bevat 8 ladders van 8 nummers, 64 nummers in totaal dus. Uit elke ladder gaan de best scorende 3 nummers rechtstreeks door naar Ronde 6. De nummers 4 en 5 gaan herkansen en voor de nummers 6, 7 en 8 eindigt het spel hier. Er gaan ook na deze ronde geen extra nummers meer door.

- Tie-breaker waar nodig: de gecombineerde score tot nu toe (1/10 * Scorepercentage Ronde 1 + 2/10 * Scorepercentage Ronde 2 + 3/10 * Scorepercentage Ronde 3 + 4/10 * Scorepercentage Ronde 4)

- We delen ook deze ronde 5-4-3-2-1 punten uit.

Overigens zijn de 20 finalisten van vorig jaar zonder enige vorm van kleerscheuren Ronde 4 doorgekomen (er hoefde er zelfs niet een te herkansen). In theorie kan dat in Ronde 5 wederom (er is geen enkele ladder met meer dan 3 oud-finalisten... en nee, er is niet gestoken), maar de kans is natuurlijk wel wat kleiner.

Gemiddelde releasejaar van ronde 5 is 1994,48. Aangezien het gemiddelde van de Progladder bij de start ongeveer 1996 was hebben de "klassiekers" wel wat terrein terug gewonnen.

Tot slotte is de totale speelduur van ronde 5 iets meer dan 12 uur. Dat zal niemand een zorg zijn denk ik, het is nu toch gewoon de punten doorschuiven?!

Ik tel er 6 (waarvan 2 mijn nominatie ), of zie ik er een over het hoofd? Als je Genesis + Gabriel doet, dan is er ook nog een Fish nummer om bij Marillion op te tellen. Dan heb je 3 'artiesten' die net 1 nummer minder dan de helft van de nummers in de ronde hebben.

Aangezien mijn mediaplayer The walk in twee MP3'tjes heeft geknipt telde ik er aanvankelijk 7. Het zijn er echter 6!
