Threshold is een eigen nominatie, je zou het een guilty pleasure kunnen noemen. Slainte Mhath is een van de vele Marillionklassiekers en Art Zoyd is prettig tegendraads. Dream Theater en Galahad kunnen beter dan dit, bij The Tangent is dat me tot op heden niet opgevallen.

Ronde 1 - Ladder 39: De nummers van Dream Theater en Marillion in deze ladder zijn echte klassiekers in mijn muzikale ontdekkingsreis. Ik heb getwijfeld over het laatste puntje, Art Zoyd vond ik namelijk een leuke ontdekking en echt 'prog'. Hoe groot was het contrast met het nummer dat daarna kwam! Compleet andere wending en ook zeer genietbaar. En wat kies je dan? Uiteindelijk toch maar voor die laatste gekozen, maar twijfel nu alweer...

Ronde 1 - Ladder 40: Riis lijkt wel heel veel op PF, maar het is wel heel goed gedaan. Met The Mars Volta kan ik weinig, de drie andere zijn aan elkaar gewaagd.

Ronde 1 - Ladder 40: ik kan er niks aan doen maar ik heb altijd wat moeite met andere 'nieuwe' bands die niet eens echt in het verlengde liggen van de originele bands maar meer kopieergedrag vertonen. Er zijn wat,spaarzame, uitzonderingen en Bjørn Riis is er daar eentje van. Maar als ik dan eens Comfortably Numb opzet van Pink Floyd eens lekker luid opzet dan is er maar één ware band en valt de rest volledig in het Niets.. Maar goed, laat ik dat dan maar waardering noemen voor bv een Pink Floyd.
