De drie punten gaan naar Sospesi Nell'incredibile, van het meesterwerk Felona E Sorona uit de Italiaanse progrock. Schitteren compositie van de liefde tussen twee planeten, vastgelegd in de experimentele klanken van het geheel. Blind Curve is de topper van Misplaced Childhood, wat blijft dit toch een magistraal nummer. Ook Phideaux kan weinig fout doen op Snowtorch, MicroSoftdeathstar (in tweedeling) staat nog een tree hoger bij mij. Oceansize en Zentraedi komen hier ook goed voor de dag, Kansas heeft echter wel veel meer te bieden dan het magere Point Of Know Return.

Ronde 1 - Ladder 41: Niet altijd te doorgronden deze ladder. Zitten moeilijke stukken tussen. Maar soms valt een track met een stem of niet. Dat had ik met Phideaux - mooie opening, zanger doet mond open en ik haak af.

Maar goed, nog vreemder was dat ik één van de nummers aanklikte, niet naar het scherm keek en echt een fabuleuze muzikale opening hoorde met daarbij een invallende gedragen stem. Prachtig ! Maar toen de stem vertelde over 'Gilette' en ik eens wat twijfelend naar het scherm keek zag ik dat ik nog wat seconden over had om deze advertentie te kunnen overslaan..

Ronde 1 - Ladder 42: Ach, Pendragon. Ergens in de jaren '90' : de man die mij met 3 extra toegiften, van ongeveer 20 minuten per stuk, tot diep in de nacht vast hield ergens in Amsterdam en ik pas om 03.30 mijn bedje indook om weer om 08.30, met zulke wallen onder mijn ogen, weer voor een klas te gaan doceren..
