Weer een heel mooie lijstje. Basic Channel ben ik gewoon vergeten (zelfs vergeten te stemmen ), had anders ook in mijn top 10 gestaan. Remitti heb ik in 1994 staan en Scott Walker staat nu op mijn "te luisteren lijst.

Geen Mystical Flute of Hariprasad Chaurasia in jouw lijstje, Cellulord? Echte aanrader als je die nog niet kent.

Dat wist ik niet trouwens niet, van Zakir Hussain. Dat is geen amateur op de tabla. Vooral in de jaren 70 veel mooie dingen gedaan. Ook meegespeeld met de twee scores van Apocalypse Now volgens mij. En in ieder geval met Diga Rhythm Band (Mickey Hart) en Shakti. Soms kom je dat soort - in het westen - onbekende plaatjes tegen. En die beklijven

Toch nog eentje in de top 10. Das alweer een tijdje geleden.
Ben o.a. Basic Channel, Hariprasad, Kronos Quartet, Natacha Atlas totaal vergeten . Moet ooit eens mijn lijsterlijstjes van voor 2010 van die die oude harde schijven zien te plukken. Maar tja die liggen bij een vriend meer dan 1000km van hier.
Techno Animal en Bardo Pond had ik klaar liggen maar ben ik niet meer aan toegekomen.

En wederom een "dank je" aan meester zaaf !

Die harsh noise plaat van Incapacitants ben ik niet meer aan toegekomen, maar is de moeite waard begrijp ik.

Plaat van Coltrane had in mijn top 5 gestaan. Heb echter gekozen om dat soort releases niet te kiezen. Zijn ook bijzonder veel jazzplaatjes uit vroegere jaren uitgegeven in de jaren 90. Dit jaar ook het goede City of Glass van Stan Kenton.

Komt dat werk van Xenakis trouwens niet uit de jaren 70? Wist ook niet dat die op MuMe stond/mocht. Had anders wel in mijn lijstje gemogen.

En ik ken dan Diga Rhythm Band weer niet. Die gaat natuurlijk op de "luisterlijst". En nu we het toch over Zakir Hussain hebben kan ik je, en de rest van dit clubje, Tabla Beat Science aanraden. Een project tussen Laswell & Hussain en een favoriet van beide heren.
