Waits... ik had hem al vrij snel van mijn kandidaat-winnaarslijst geschrapt.
Heeft te maken met het feit dat hij in een ander spel onder de verwachtingen bleef.
Maar hier hebben we dus een deelnemersveld dat hem wel erg hoog heeft zitten.

Ik heb het album niet. Ik hou wel van Waits, maar vind hem een buitenbeentje.
De plaat van The The heb ik ook in huis, maar ik hoor daar het geniale niet zo in.
Net als bij die van REM trouwens. Zijn er mensen die verstaan wat Stipe zingt?

Dit was mijn lijst die behoorlijk poppig gekleurd is.
Want 1983 was het eerste jaar waarin ik fulltime de hitparade verslond.
En jeugdsentiment blijft bij mij nu eenmaal langer plakken dan bij anderen.

No Parlez van Paul Young heb ik ook nog overwogen, maar deze scoort bij mij lager omdat ik nu alleen de cd versie nog in bezit heb.
Daar staan onnodige lange remixen op, op de elpee staan wel de compacte versies.

Ik ben benieuwd of Frankie Goes to Hollywood - Welcome to the Pleasuredome het in 1984 gaat redden; geweldige singles, maar ook op de plaat een te lange versie van het titelnummer, en veel opvullers.
Volgens mij was Frankie Goes to Hollywood wel de artiest van dat jaar, en zijn ze helaas ook weer vrij snel vergeten; maar misschien zit ik er wel helemaal langs.

Je kan zelf kiezen op welke versie van het album jij wil stemmen. Onze grote spelleider neemt ze alleen onder één noemer mee. Dus vergeet Frankie vooral niet. Ik ga alleen juist voor die fantastische lange versies van hen.

Ik vond wel de lange versie van Rage Hard geweldig!!
Deze draaiden ze ooit volgens mij op een vrijdag op Hilversum 3.
Helemaal opgenomen op een TDK bandje.

Frankie heeft voor mij zeker ook nog zn charme..maar niet voor de top 20.

Kijk: dat deed ik nou ook deric raven. Op een TDK bandje. En als 'ie in de winkel lag kopen. Ik heb ze inmiddels allemaal de originele Frankie 12 inches. Die later kwamen zijn vaak in één woord bagger. Maar daar had Trevor Horn dan ook niets mee te maken.
