JENNY LEWIS ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM DETAILS

Rilo Kiley frontwoman Jenny Lewis has announced details of her new solo album ‘Acid Tongue’, set to be released in September.

The record, which is the second solo album from Lewis, is the follow-up to 2006’s ‘Rabbit Fur Coat’ and features collaborations with Johnathan Rice, Farmer Dave Scher, Jason Boesel, Jason Lader and M Ward.

The album also features a duet with Elvis Costello, as well as contributions from Chris Robinson of The Black Crowes and actress/singer Zooey Deschanel of She And Him.

Lewis also enlisted the services of her sister Leslie Lewis who sang backing vocals on two songs as well as her father Eddie Gorgan, who played bass harp.

Bonnie "Prince" Billy to Release Another Live Album

Is It the Sea? No sir. It's the new live album from Bonnie "Prince" Billy, captured at an Edinburgh, Scotland gig in spring 2006. The set features Mr. Billy-- or is it Mr. Oldham?-- backed by local musicians Harem Scarem and Alex Neilson, and finds him rolling over many highlights of his sizable back catalog.

Is It the Sea? is due in the UK October 20 on CD, double LP and digital download from Domino. Bonnie "Prince" Billy's North American label Drag City has no definite plans to release Is It the Sea? on our side of the pond just yet, though.

Oldham will bring himself to a field in Jeffersontown, Kentucky on July 26. For a performance, we're assured. Then in October, he has a brief Spanish tour scheduled with the Oldham Brothers.

My new full length is all done and will be upcoming on Kemado Records. This time I have teamed up with New York based Chris Coady (who has worked with Blonde Redhead, Gang Gang Dance, among others.

Simone Pace (Blond Redhead) on drums, percussion

Farmer Dave Scher (guests in interpol, elvis costello, beachwood sparks, jenny lewis) on lap steel, organ, piano

and Marissa on electric guitar, acoustic guitar, vocals, and wurlitzer

Ballads of Living and Dying Reissue:

For those who wanted a vinyl version of Ballads of Living and Dying, you will only have to wait a couple more months for it. Kemado Records is issuing a remastered limited edition vinyl run, including a song that was initially meant to be on the record but was accidentally left off. The vinyl will be released on a brand new label imprint of Kemado Records called Mexican Summer records, named after my song. Very flattering! Its going to be all vinyl, all handnumbered, all cool.

Following on from her critically acclaimed sets 'Love In The Time Of Science' and her first for Rough Trade 'Fisherman's Woman', the forthcoming 'Me And Armini' (released 8th September) sees her working once again with her long time producer/collaborator Dan Carey resulting in what we feel is destined to be one of the albums of 2008.

'Me And Armini' is a hugely ambitious and aspirational pop record with Emiliana’s soaring voice centre stage, bolstered by a rich gamut of musical styles. From the summery skank of the title track (released 18th August on limited 7 inch vinyl) to the yearning, spine-tingling single 'Big Jumps' (due mid October) to the surging, breathless 'Jungle Drum' and much more in between 'Me And Armini' is a truly fantastic album.

'Me And Armini' will be released as a digital single in the US exclusively via iTunes on 19th August, with the album of the same name to follow on 9th September.
