Wat grafgantz zegt. Maar nummers als Gambler. Dress You Up, True Blue, Who's That Girl etc etc zullen wel nooit 'goed' genoeg bevonden worden voor een verzamelaar. En ik mis er veel meer. Maar goed, met zoveel hits is het ook lastig. Vandaar een 5-cd box zou helemaal een uitkomst zijn.

Ik snap ook niet waarom ze niet een complete box met alle singles uitbrengen naast de 1cd en 2cd edities. Dat zijn nu juist dingen die ik een liefhebber wil kopen.

Het zal een nagenoeg onhaalbare opgave zijn om dit album te overtreffen, maar toch ben ik wel benieuwd naar bovenstaand album van een nog jonge Cohen...

Tja dat weet ik nog niet Leonard is door zijn boekhouder berooft geweest. Die is namelijk met al zijn geld gaan lopen, dus ik kan me wel inbeelden dat hij er niet staat om te rouwen. Die roof staat dan ook aan de wieg voor zijn recenste tournee..

Eindelijk is ie er dan, maar je moet er wel je oude Atari weer voor van zolder halen.
Nee, ik vraag me af of Konklaver überhaupt uitkomt (het gerucht gaat dat het release CAT200 op Rephlex zou worden), maar volgens mij is het gewoon een hoax.

Kraftwerk, the German legends that pretty much invented electronic pop music as we know it, are due to reissue eight of their albums in a massive box set called 12345678: The Catalogue. Five of the albums will also be reissued as individual titles.
The box is due October 6 in the U.S. from EMI. That's the cover art above. It'll feature the following discs: 1974's Autobahn, 1975's Radio-Activity, 1977's stone classic Trans-Europe Express, 1978's The Man Machine, 1981's Computer World, 1986's Techno Pop, the 1991 remix comp The Mix, and 2003's Tour De France. (The band's first three albums are not included.)
We can argue about those last three LPs all day, but the first five are total pantheon material, huge influences on everyone from David Bowie to Afrika Bambaataa to Daft Punk to basically anybody that ever made dance music in the past four decades. Kraftwerk have remastered these albums themselves, so they should sound great.
Licensing issues prevent EMI from reissuing Computer World, Techno Pop, or The Mix in the U.S. as individual titles. So if you want those, you'll have to spring for the full box. The other five albums will be available on CD, vinyl, or digital download. The box set will be available on CD only.

aha , die koop ik zeker , kraftwerk zijn goden en hun muziek is altijd zijn tijd ver voor geweest en duizenden groepen hebben pacht aan de muziekvaandeldragers uit dusseldorf ( kling klang ) joepiejee !

Jazeker, ik had het gerucht al gepost op 7 augustus, maar het is nu zeker, want zelfs Dylan's platenmaatschapij Columbia heeft het gemeld:
Bob Dylan will release a brand new album of holiday songs, Christmas In The Heart, on Tuesday, October 13, it was announced today by Columbia Records. All of the artist’s U.S. royalties from sales of these recordings will be donated to Feeding America, guaranteeing that more than four million meals will be provided to more than 1.4 million people in need in this country during this year’s holiday season. Bob Dylan is also donating all of his future U.S. royalties from this album to Feeding America in perpetuity.
Additionally, the artist is partnering with two international charities to provide meals during the holidays for millions in need in the United Kingdom and the developing world, and will be donating all of his future international royalties from Christmas In The Heart to those organizations in perpetuity. Details regarding the international partnerships will be announced next week.
“When we reached out to Bob Dylan about becoming involved with our organization, we could never have anticipated that he would so generously donate all royalties from his forthcoming album to our cause,” said Vicki Escarra, president and CEO of Feeding America. “This major initiative from such a world renowned artist and cultural icon will directly benefit so many people and have a major impact on spreading awareness of the epidemic of hunger in this country and around the world.”
Bob Dylan commented, “It’s a tragedy that more than 35 million people in this country alone -- 12 million of those children – often go to bed hungry and wake up each morning unsure of where their next meal is coming from. I join the good people of Feeding America in the hope that our efforts can bring some food security to people in need during this holiday season.”
