Inmiddels zijn we weer een jaar verder. Een top 50 is voor sommigen toch iets te hoog gegrepen, waaronder ik, maar om het toch iets groter te maken dan vorig jaar, mag je dit jaar ook een top 30 inleveren. In principe mag je ook een top 15, 20 of 25 inleveren.
Een andere tijdsspanne is dan wellicht voor volgend jaar.

En zoals altijd, de regels:
Het spel is vrij simpel:
* Maak een top 15-20-25-30 van platen uit de jaren '70 (en plaats deze in dit topic)

* De albums moeten óf hier op musicmeter aangegeven staan als 1970-1979 (ongeacht het type album of het materiaal dat erop staat) óf uitsluitend(!) opnames bevatten die uit de jaren '60 stammen (naar eigen inzicht!).

* Ieder type album is toegestaan, dus ook EP’s en verzamelaars. De kans dat zo’n album medestanders vindt is daarentegen erg twijfelachtig.

* Noteren gaat als volgt:
1. <.ARTIEST> - <.ALBUM> (jaartal is optioneel)
Let op de . achter het nummer en de titel dient geschreven te worden zoals die op musicmeter aangegeven is (Dus incl. de woorden zoals The). Het beste is dus gewoon om het rechtstreeks van musicmeter te kopiëren.

Vorig jaar had ik op deze plaats een volwaardige 1-album-per-artiest. Ook hier heb ik dat laten varen omdat we nu een top-30 hebben en het resultaat mag er wezen. Met het uit de lijst kukelen van Song for America (Kansas), Thick as a Brick (Jethro Tull) en For Your Pleasure (Roxy Music) is het aantal verschillende artiesten zelfs gedaald van 20/20 naar 17/30. Volgend jaar dan maar een Top 40?

Ik ben best tevreden over de hoeveelheid afwisseling tussen genres (o.a. jazz, soul en folk) en bekender en onbekender werk, daar waar ik vreesde toch vooral met usual suspects op de proppen te gaan komen - niet dat die er niet voldoende inzitten, trouwens Opvallend is de grote hoeveelheid Duitsers, maar liefst zes albums zijn van Duitse makelijk (en dan gaat er ook nog één over Berlijn ). Mooi decennium, maar ik moet er wel nog heel veel van leren kennen, zeg...

Vijf keer Black Sabbath Moet dringend wat meer aandacht besteden aan dit decennium. Albums als Maggot Brain, Bitches Brew, Raw Power, Super Ape en Sad Wings of Destiny staan al maanden klaar om eens beluisterd te worden, maar het is er nog niet van gekomen.

De jaren 70 waren ver voor mijn tijd, en ben bang dat ik niet vaak nieuwe muziek ontdek uit dat tijdvak, dus ik hou het bij een top 20, en zelfs daar heb ik nog vele artiesten twee of drie keer genoemd. Maar ik veel van deze muziek is wel top tien materiaal voor mij, dus dat zou eigenlijk een goeie reden zijn voor mij om eens wat meer 70s muziek te gaan luisteren
