4.39 met 282 stemmen is trouwens een belachelijk hoge score. Over vreemd gesproken. Lijkt wel een massale Toto fanclub.

Het komt wel op hetzelfde neer, er zullen genoeg mensen zijn die hem 'blind' 5 sterren hebben gegeven, het enige verschiil met toto is dat ze niet continu lopen op te hemelen.
Neemt niet weg dat het geen erg goede plaat is natuurlijk

Ik vind het wel meevallen hoor. Als je dat vergelijkt met The Godfather op MM, die zit daar ook rond de 4,33.

Bovendien is het natuurlijk een erg goed album, alleen moet Dark Side net een treedje hoger

0.6 hoger op zo'n niveau vind ik heel wat. Zeker met muziek, iets waar de meeste mensen toch vaak een duidelijkere, genregebonden mening over hebben.

En The Godfather staat natuurlijk ook belachelijk hoog , al kan ik dat bij zo'n film makkelijker begrijpen dan bij een Pink Floyd.

Ik zie ook wel een patroon: The Godfather I komt uit 1972, Dark Side Of The Moon uit 1973, The Godfather II uit 1974 en Wish You Were Here uit 1975. Toeval? Of een Satanistische boodschap?

Van de top-100 bedoel je? Explosions in the sky (nummer 109) zit ook op 4,33*.

Ik ben hier 1 en een kwart luisterbeurt Fitzcarraldo mee bezig geweest, dat is dus 51 minuten x 1,25. De enige snelle manier is denk ik rechtstreekse SQL.

Als je kijkt naar de Top 50s, zie je dat het hoogst genoteerde Electronic album niet eens de Rock Top 50 haalt. Dan weet je al genoeg natuurlijk

Ja, want in de MovieMeter top-lijst gebaseerd op stemgemiddeldes staat ook alleen maar actie.

Iemand die mij het verschil met de huidige lijst wil uitleggen ?

Ik ben toch wel redelijk verrast, best een interessante en mooie lijst. Wel jammer van al die verzamelaars, die er naar mijn mening niet in horen. Ook is bij een aantal platen duidelijk de invloed van een hoop tegenstemmers te zien.
En chapeau voor Jonnie voor dit aardige stukje ambtenarenwerk

Om de discussie niet te laten stranden; ik denk dat er best wat manipulatie zal plaatsvinden. Maar een album dat nu op 4,30 staat, zie ik door bewuste manipulatie niet zo snel onder de 4,20 zakken, het zal toch heel erg meevallen. En een ietwat gemanipuleerde lijst (lopen we trouwens voor onze volwassenheid en gezamenlijke verantwoording weg?), is nog altijd een beter visitekaartje dan de belachelijke top-250 die MusicMeter nu heeft staan.
Wat is het grote verschil van bovenstaande lijst met de MovieMeter toplijst? Die is toch niet zo heel groot?

Precies. Ik weet niet of dat argument echt valide is. De enige manier om erachter te komen is door een lijst op stemgemiddelde een maandje te proberen en te kijken of de stemgemiddeldes veel zijn veranderd.

Ikzelf vind deze lijst een stuk leuker, ook al komen mijn favoriete albums er ietsje bekaaider vanaf.

Het laagste cijfer is 4.10, hoe zie je daar "hopen" tegenstemmers in ?

Ik geef JB wel gelijk, maar of deze lijst nu ook maar iets beter is als visitekaartje durf ik te betwijfelen. Ik ben in ieder geval niet bang voor naar beneden gestemde electronic albums ... of gaan ze die twee entries ook nog viseren

Hmm, ik denk dat het bij een dergelijke lijst verstandig is om pas vanaf iets van 50 stemmen de albums erin te zetten. Een plaat als Machine Heads Äshes of Empires" staat hier bijvoorbeeld erg hoog met slechts 21 stemmen. Daar hoeven dan maar 3 mensen een halfje aan te geven en hij staat al op 3,89...

Goede plaat trouwens, maar nummer 4 is natuurlijk schromelijk overdreven.

En dan staat hij gewoon op 3.89, en valt niemand hem meer op ... nog steeds een mooie score, en daarna zullen de fans de score wel weer wat opkrikken.

Of laat ik het anders zeggen; bepaalde albums (meestal de bekendere) hebben er meer last van dan de albums in de luwte. Zo zou volgens deze lijst VU&Nico minder zijn dan VU's derde album. Wat behalve dat het onzin is, puur te danken is aan de tegenstemmers die VU&Nico wel heeft en hun derde niet.
