De MuMeAfrekening op Spotify:



Zo, daar is dan eindelijk de nieuwe afrekening mét een nieuwe nummer 1. En wat is de nieuwe van Lana Del Rey toch een prachtig nummer. Het verschil met de nummer 2 - Thom Yorke - is maar liefst 16 punten.

De hoogste binnenkomer is de nieuwste single van Beach House. De clip is één grote psychedelische trip. Het elektronische Drunk in L.A. is één van de prijsnummers van het laatste album '7'. Johnny Marr klaagde in juni nog over de lage positie van Drunk in LA in de statistieken van '7', maar hij krijgt hopelijk een glimlach van de hoge notering in de wekelijkse afrekening.

Dan Jessie Ware met een heerlijke nineties track. De voetjes kunnen van de vloer. Een perfect nummer voor in een nachtclub. Overtime is geproduceerd door Matt Mcbriar (Bicep), James Ford en Andy Ferguson. Het is de eerste single sinds haar album uit 2017: Glasshouse.

Onderaan twee nieuwe binnenkomers, waaronder Again van Villagers. Het album 'The Art of Pretending to Swim' is afgelopen week uitermate goed ontvangen op Musicmeter en staat ruimschoots bovenaan in de rotatielijst. Wellicht dat dit ook zorgt voor hernieuwde aandacht voor de iets oudere single Again. Who Goes There van The Field is minimalistische techno. The Field sprokkelt genoeg puntjes bij elkaar voor een nipte positionering in de top 30.

Oh... en arme Donny. Hij neemt na negen weken afscheid van de afrekening. Hopelijk to snel, Don!

Da's standaard procedure hoor, als iemand expliciet zegt dat zn lijst van vorige week nog een keer mee gaat dan telt die gewoon als een 'nieuwe' lijst.. Alleen als iemand niks laat horen dan telt ie maar voor de helft

Stormachtige 20 - week 42

Jessie Ware bestormt de top en kan het John Grant moeilijk maken.

Little Dragon bracht eerder dit jaar 'Best Friends' uit en dat nummer staat momenteel met 141 punten op de vijfde plek in de jaarlijst van 2018. De druk staat er dus vol op voor eventuele vervolgsingles. Toch kan Lover Chanting mij zeker bekoren. Het is weer een typische Little Dragon-plaat met de fantastische stem van Yukimi Nagano.

Claire Laffut kwam ik ergens tegen in één van de MuMe-lijsten (Geert of Niek)? Ik werd direct in het nummer gezogen door de bijzondere stem van Laffut. Franstalige pop van de bovenste plank, als je het mij vraagt. De clip is ook erg fraai. Het is geen straf om naar Laffut te kijken

Red Ribbon stond al een paar weken op mijn tiplijst, maar haalt nu toch echt de lijst. Dit komt vooral door dat prachtige refrein: "I won't die from loneliness but if I do I'll blame you; I live my life no context but if you do I’ll blame you".

Een nieuw rondje met oudjes, maar dan de volgende generatie na David Crosby en Van Morrison vorige week.

Joe Jackson en Elvis Costello. Beiden 64 en schelen welgeteld 2 weken. Ik geloof niet, maar voorbeelden zijn welkom, dat ik iemand 40 jaar na zijn debuut ooit nog zo scherp, vocalen ooit nog zo sterk gelijkend, heb gehoord als bij Joe Jackson (Is she really going out with him).
Alleen als je hem ziet weet je zeker dat er inmiddels toch wel enige tientallen jaren tussen zit.
De prestatie zou een prijs op zich moeten genereren, de oude fans die 15 waren bij zijn debuut mogen dit feest der herkenning zeker niet missen.

Elvis Costello is ook nog zeker herkenbaar maar heeft zich in de loop van de jaren meer als muzikale kameleon ontwikkeld. Ook niets mis mee als het maar goed is. En ook hij voldoet, net iets langer dan 40 jaar na zijn debuut, weer aan alle benodigde eisen. Lijkt alleen wat bezadigder dan Jackson.

Zowel Elvis Costetello als Joe Jackson kunnen me bekoren. Joe Jackson enkel de single nog maar gehoord. Zal z'n album ook eens checken. Tickets voor z'n optredens volgend jaar waren helaas allemaal al weg.

Ja, ik viste ook achter het net. Het nieuwe album van Joe Jackson volgt pas in 2019, als ik musicmeter mag geloven

Bovenin zit het behoorlijk vast, volgens mij voor het eerst sinds ik de lijst dit jaar weer maak.
Mooie stijgers voor 2 binnenkomers van vorige week, Regrettes en Julia Jacklin.
Verder dan 4 binnenkomers....
Als hoogste de nieuwe Sia. Haar album 1000 Forms of Fear was voor mij een eye (ear) opener, geweldig album. Daarna haar oude albums ook meteen opgezocht. De opvolger This is Acting was het vervolgens niet helemaal voor mij... paar leuke nummers die vervolgens in de singleversies helemaal niet meer interessant waren met allerlei gastbijdragen. Maar nu is er de nieuwe single en die klinkt weer vertrouwd, goede hoop voor het nieuwe album dus.
Tia Gostelow ontdekte ik via een 'similar artist' op spotify, ik geloof van Laurel. Prima pop/rock/singersongwriter.
Alice on the Roof stond een aantal jaar geleden op BKS en speelde daar in een tent waarin net zo hard gejuicht werd om haar als om de doelpunten van het Belgisch mannenvoetbalelftal. Nou is ze zelf ook Belgisch dus dat vond ze misschien niet eens zo erg. Ze maakte toen wel indruk en nu is ze er weer met een nieuwe single, prima electropop.

Een weekje met weinig wijzigingen. Pip Blom blijft bovenaan. Toro van Liily moet het vooral hebben van refrein, waar de band lekker doorramt. En Sofi Tukker keert terug naar het Portugees van 'Drinkee', maar dan met wat meer energie. Verder heb ik alle nummers uit mijn lijstje hier en daar bij anderen wel teruggezien, alleen Pablo van de Poel's Bodie Curse niet volgens mij; dus even dit blues-rock nummer (solo-plaat van de zanger van DeWolff) onder de aandacht brengen. Daarnaast is ook de tiplijst weer aardig volgestroomd.
