209 albums bestemd, zie ik. Luister eigenlijk nog vooral singles uit de 60s (zo'n 4.400 stemmen op 60s singles op RYM) en verhoudingsgewijs veel soul, maar dat is in bovenstaande lijst niet echt terug te zien: die is al een paar jaar min of meer hetzelfde.

Duidelijk niet mijn decennium, al zijn hier toch enkele gouden platen te vinden voor mij. Behalve de volgorde is er met slechts één nieuwe nominatie niet veel veranderd ten opzichte van vorig jaar.

Gisteravond op tv-zender Mezzo - dat was 'm volgens mij - was een avondje Sun Ra met concerten, docu-beelden en dergelijke. Bizarre momenten en dito muziek, soms in de verte niet meer te vergelijken met zijn studio-opnamen. Zelfs voor mij - als groot liefhebber - een bevreemdende ervaring met de man van Saturnus.

Deze dagen eens goed nadenken voor welk 60's album van 'm ik een plaatsje ga reserveren. Zal wel weer Atlantis worden, gok ik.

Bedankt! Inderdaad een fascinerende man, van wat ik er voorlopig over weet. Ben bij zijn muziek terechtgekomen omdat hiphopproducer Madlib (hier bekend van Madvillain) er enorme fan van lijkt te zijn.
