In December 1975 voerde deze groep de top 40 aan met Mississippi en tot 1980 werden er regelmatig grote hits gescoord. Pussycat op een teleurstellende 78e plek. De nummer 80 is een band die orchestrale poprock tot grote hoogten bracht in de 70's. Eind ''77'' verscheen de dubbelaar Out Of The Blue en is het grootste succes van de band rond bedenker Jeff Lynne. Het lichtorkest is live al weer een poosje te bewonderen. Lynne als enige originele lid. Dit is wellicht wel hun bekendste nummer.
