Iron Man scoort net aan top 20.

Zoals velen van jullie waarschijnlijk wel weten, ben ik groot liefhebber van Afrikaanse muziek. Zo heel af en toe dringt er wel eens een Afrikaanse artiest door tot de westerse mainstream. Dit gebeurde in 2005 met het blinde Malinese koppel Amadou & Mariam, dat toen al 25 jaar samen muziek maakte, maar dankzij het door Manu Chao geproduceerde album Dimanche a Bamako en bijbehorende single veel op de westerse radio - en dus ook de Nederlandse - te horen was. De stempel van Manu Chao is overigens duidelijk te horen hier.

Wellicht komt die nog, want dat vind ik ook een fantastisch nummer. Echter, er is veel meer mooiere Afrikaanse muziek, dus wellicht kies ik wel voor een iets minder bekend nummer van het donkere continent.

Het totaal aantal stemmers neemt helaas wat af, maar onze Malinese vrienden scoren best aardig.

Na gisteren kan ik natuurlijk maar één artiest plaatsen. Hij is een cultfiguur, een voorbeeld voor kalende mannen wereldwijd. Hij maakt catchy synthpopnummers, kan eigenlijk niet zingen, maar zingt wel voornamelijk over sex. Of was het sax? Of six? Anyhow, hier is ie, De Fenomeen aldus Gretz: Donny Benét!
