Toen ik 1984 op radio 3 de Veronica top 100 allertijden hoorde dacht ik: dat wil ik ook, zelf een lijst maken van de beste liedjes allertijden. Ik begon voortvarend met een top 50; toen dacht ik: ach 100 lukt ook wel. Dat viel nog best tegen met mijn kennis van toen. De onderste 25 of zelfs 40 zijn dan ook meer een opsomming wat ik ken dan echt op volgorde. De nummer 1 van die eerste allertijdenlijst: Nena - Nur geträumt. In de loop der tijden is die een poosje helemaal uit m'n lijst geweest tot die gewoon weer terugkwam en tegenwoordig ergens tussen de 10 en 25 bivakkeert.
In m'n 2e en 3e allertijdenlijst stond overigens Kim Wilde op 1, eerst Chequered Love (m'n nummer 1 van 1981) en daarna View from a Bridge (in deze lijst op 4).

Duran Duran, ook al zo'n fijn nummer, was een favoriet playbacknummer van m'n broer en mij, met een tennisracket, stoer nummer hoor

11 Bauhaus met 2 covers, vooral Third Uncle vind ik geweldig en daarvan hoorde ik pas deze week voor het eerst het origineel die had best in m'n 1974 lijst gepast.
17 is dan weer Peter Wylie als enige van de Crucial Three, die gaat in 1984 nog wel terugkomen
18 werd destijds uitgebracht als gewoon Scandal maar sinds Patty solo ging meestal aangeduid als 'featuring'. Bij het (meerdere keren) beluisteren vorige week bleef ik het maar terugschuiven in de lijst en dus hoort-ie er ook gewoon in.
20 is dan nog één keer een Tracey origineel, voor mevrouw zelf aan de beurt komt... I Know What Boys Like staat in een nog sleazier dan het origineel gezongen versie op haar 2e album (overigens ook volgend jaar nog wel een Tracey origineel in de lijst)

25-30/net niet:

Kon je die hiervoor nog niet?

Ja, achteraf wel, meer een 'oja die' geval. Ik ken een paar van The The met wisselend succes, deze hoort zeker bij z'n betere.

Ik vind het stiekem dan wel weer mooi dat er toch nog ook twee mensen waren die (Don't Fear) the Reaper ook dit jaar doodleuk in hun lijstje gezet hebben. Dan laat je in ieder geval niet beïnvloeden door de mening van onze organisator
