Nog een 1989-liedje voor het slapen gaan. Stond eigenlijk op mijn shortlist voor mijn flop 10, maar met de clip erbij vind ik het wel fascinerend... Eins, zwei, drei, vier.

Ik heb maar weer een flop 10 gemaakt. Vanaf 1989 heb ik erg veel hits beluisterd, met name uit de NLse, Engelse, Amerikaanse en Franse hitparade, dus de keuze is reuze... Er staan ook een paar artiesten tussen die ik wel kan waarderen (zelfs eentje die een paar keer mijn top 20 heeft gehaald), maar die hier het slechtste van zich naar boven hebben gehaald:

Queensryche vind ik een van de vervelendste bands die er is, dus dat was een makkelijke keuze. Destijds vond ik het al helemaal niks eigenlijk.

Prince kan ik wel waarderen, maar dit nummer had hij beter op de plank kunnen laten liggen.

Wel leuk dat je de flop top 10 maakt herman!

In mijn lijstje o.a.:

- een nummer #1 hit uit 1989
- een artiest die ook een #1 hit scoorde in 1989, maar ik heb dan de veel betere single daarvoor. Flink in mijn achting gestegen na ze van de zomer live te hebben gezien
- een obscure janglepop favoriet over een station waar de leden van Gang of Four en Kaiser Chiefs vast wel eens op de trein zijn gestapt
- Electro-R&B van de 'king of the beats'
- een heilzaam wiegelied
- een stukkie Shakespeare uit NY
- smack my bitch up, like a pimp
- muziek die onder de huid gaat uit Guadeloupe
