Weet je wat echt verbazingwekkend is: The Kinks op 1 met You Really Got Me en op 50 (!!) met All Day And All Of The Night. Wat een verschil in klasering, terwijl de liedjes in kwaliteit en stijl niet eens veel voor elkaar onderdoen.

Ook opvallend: de eerste Elvis pas op 36. Het toch echt erg mooie Can't Help Falling in Love With You.

Thanks! Ze zou in hetzelfde vliegtuig als Otis & the Bar-Keys zitten, met wie ze veel optrad, maar bleef op het laatste moment thuis omdat ze net moeder was geworden. Hierna stopte ze met haar muzikale carriere. Ik lees net dat ze afgelopen 16 december is overleden. Het nummer wordt trouwens ook gebruikt op Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers): het nummer Tearz.

in 1997 richtte ik me voornamelijk op wazige liedjes over ontspanningsoefeningen in mijn armen, kussen in het donker met beschadigde lippen, over iets drinken in Los Angeles of een andere plaats in California waar we de zon de hemel zien aantikken als een massieve aanval.

Ik verwacht voor 1997 een spannende strijd tussen Aqua en Wes.

Ik heb de foute hits achterwege gelaten voor de periode vóór 1965, maar met 1997 zijn we terug. Bij deze de foute hits die het zeer goed deden op feestjes, zatte fuiven en kinderdisco's. U mag zich gerust laten inspireren, maar eigenlijk liever niet.

Voor velen het beeld van de latin muziek. Eigenlijk al een hit uit 1995, maar zoals wel meer met zomerhits duurde het even voor dit bij ons terecht kwam. Maria stond pas in de hitlijsten in 1997. Gelukkig dus dat technisch gezien het nummer niet eens mag meedoen in de echte top van 1997.

Ricky Martin zat als kind in een boysband: Menudo. Een kleine stap dus om het in deze foute top 10 te maken. De Puero Ricaanse zanger ging in de jaren '90 solo. Hij speelde zelfs mee in een soapserie. Hij schitterde in General Hospital als - jawel - Puerto Ricaanse zanger. In België en Nederland brak hij in 1997 door met Maria. En in die hitlijsten zou hij nog wel meer terugkomen nadien met hits als Private Emotion, Livin' la vida loca, La copa de la vida en Nobody wants to be lonely. Maar alles begon met Un Dos Tres!

In Franstalige België stond het nummer op nr 1, in Vlaanderen en Nederland bleef het een top 5 hit. In Vlaanderen zelfs meer dan een half jaar in de Top 50 en tot op nr 2 voor 3 weken. Daar geraakte het niet voor Funky Green Dogs met Fired Up.
