Dat Rapper's Delight baanbrekend was onderken ik ook volledig, ik vind het alleen niet goed genoeg voor deze Top 10. Het bericht van de grootmeester is het eerste hiphopnummer dat ik tussen de allerbesten schaar.

Er is dus nog hoop. Vind de eerste LP geweldig (bijna elk nummer stond in mijn shortlist), maar de tweede gewoon errug matig.

Mijn nummers 1 en 2 hadden dus eigenlijk andersom moeten staan. Dit is zoals ik hem heb opgestuurd naar zaaf.

Disorder viel er maar net buiten, dus ik ben zeker blij met de hoge notering van dat nummer.

Had ik in het bericht daarvoor al een misschientje genoemd.

1979 was ook het jaar van de geweldig funknummers. Er is bijna niets van terug te vinden in de top 25.
En terwijl Whole Lotta Rosie nog de top 10 haalde, haalt Highway to Hell maar net de top 25.

Ah, kan ik niet terugvinden als ik zoek op Kurtis of Breaks.
Ik zet hem wel tussen mijn kanshebbers, net als Mr. Magic - Rappin' With Mr. Magic en Zulu Nation Throwdown van Afrika Bambaataa. Maar uiteindelijk zal het wel weer een top 10 vol wave worden, aangezien de disco nu ook wel op zijn retour gaat.

Ik had bewust 1 song per artiest in mijn top 10 gezet. Begrijp me goed, je moet het echt helemaal zelf weten. Maar 5x Joy Division is dat geen overdosis? Complimenten trouwens voor Gino Soccio!

Ik zet gewoon de dertig beste nummers van dat jaar op volgorde van goed naar slecht. Zelfs al komt daar dertig keer dezelfde artiest uit.

Je bent volgens mij niet de enige, ik zie 4 (!) nummers van Joy Division in de top 15.....

Er is op JD tamelijk verspreid gestemd, op Teun na Veel stemmers voor JD dus.

Die Soccio is inderdaad erg fijn. Had zelf in die categorie Hills Of Katmandu, maar zo te zien ben ik de enige

Gezien de enorme hoeveelheid dierbare muziek uit dit jaar de beperking van 1 nummer per artiest toegepast (semi-valsgespeeld met Gary Numan dus). Content met de hoge eindnoteringen van Joy Division en Tubeway Army, en ook Cars kwam een heel eind. Had met name van Patti wel een hogere positie verwacht.
