Ik had Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now, het eerste nummer dat ik ooit heb gehoord van The Smiths en waardoor ik ze heb leren kennen. Dat was door de lijst '500 songs that shaped rock n roll' van Rolling Stone.

Met Double Nickels on the Dime, Hatful of Hollow, Rattlesnakes en Let It Be op 5* kan ik dit waarschijnlijk wel m'n favoriete jaar noemen.

Hmm, Pink Frost heeft in de hier genoemde lijstjes al 34 punten, maar eentje minder dan Metallica die 10e werd. Dat zal dus dan wel een 11e plaats zijn. Zonde, had de top 10 toch een stukje mooier gemaakt.

Dank herman. Pink Frost stond bij mij in het begin nog wel top 10, maar nadat ik nog allerlei mooie italo ontdekte en ik erachter kwam dat ik HSIN was vergeten is het nummer wat verder weggezakt. Wel een beetje jammer voor de variatie inderdaad.

Maar je moet niet vergeten dat gelijk 3 users zich wel voor het hoofd konden slaan dat ze Fade To Black waren vergeten, dus is die top 10 plek meer dan terecht. Bovendien had Metallica concurrentie van zichzelf door de vele goede nummers van Ride The Lightning. En zo ziet de top 10, moet ik zeggen, er ook mooier uit...

Hmm, The Chills heeft ook wel meer goede nummers hoor. En tja, vergeten, daar geloof ik niet zo in. De albums van U2 en Metallica zijn de enige 2 uit 1984 met meer dan 1000 stemmen op deze site, daar kijk je toch niet zomaar overheen? Als je er niet aan denkt is het ook niet goed genoeg.
