We maken qua punten een reuzesprong: het gat tussen nummer 5 en nummer 4 is precies even groot als dat tussen nummer 5 en nummer 17, met andere woorden: we hebben nu de echte top bereikt. Er zullen vast wel wat mensen vermoed hebben dat Firth of Fifth dit spel zou winnen, maar drie 18e plaatsen was toch net te veel. En ofschoon de afstand tot het podium duidelijk kleiner is dan die tot de nummer 5... zo heel close is het nu ook weer niet.

Pink Floyd had duidelijk weinig last van concurrentie tussen de nummers. Met maar liefst zes eerste plaatsen (en nog vier tweede erbij) bezet naast Comfortably Numb ook die andere oud MuMeLadder-finalist het podium. De iets bovengemiddelde standaarddeviatie geeft een indruk waarom ondanks de overige monsterstatistieken Shine on You Crazy Diamond toch nét (op 2 punten) geen eerste werd.

Met de kleinste standaarddeviatie van het stel is Arriving Somewhere But Not Here kennelijk een grote allemansvriend onder het progpubliek alhier. Tegenover 'slechts' twee 1e plaatsen staat ook slechts één bottom-4 notering. En zo hebben Steven Wilson en co dan gewonnen!

Spannende finale! Met wat mij betreft allemaal mooie nummers. Dank Casartelli!

De complete Prog Top 300 staat nu op spotify (uitgezonderd de nummers die niet beschikbaar zijn om te streamen).

Helaas de ontknoping niet 'live' mee kunnen maken, maar zelfs bij het scrollen was het een spannende ontknoping.
Een hele diepe buiging voor Casartelli die vanaf het prille begin van deze geweldige progladder, tot het laatste eindje met een voor mij toch wel verrassende, maar niet onverdiende winaar, de boel geweldig georganiseerd heeft. Met diep respect voor de ongetwijfeld vele uurtjes die hij erin gestoken heeft Het was een mooi feestje om aan mee te doen!

Als Genesis man heb ik juist weer andere bands (opnieuw) leren kennen. Ik heb ook geleerd dat ik bepaalde bands echt niks vind. Verbaasd hoeveel Marillion die-hards er nog zijn. Geconstateerd dat Steven Wilson een kruisvaarder is in het voortbestaan van deze muziek.

En nu wil ik mij gaan richten op nieuwe albums uitgebracht in 2016. Ook weer even totaal andere muziek gaan beluisteren. De afwisseling is mij ook geliefd.

En het mag Lente gaan worden. Bbq-en, strand, slippers, t-shirt, vroege vogels en warmte !

Casartelli, hartelijk dank voor de leiding en de leuke manier van communiceren tijdens het spel.
We zullen je missen de komende tijd, denk ik!
Een tijdje geleden las ik in een interview met Jan Slagter, baas van omroep MAX over de problemen bij de publieke omroep (het ging natuurlijk ook over zijn privé-escapades, maar dat even terzijde).
Bezuinigingen, werkdruk, meer werk met minder mensen, kortom één grote klaagzang over het medialandschap stond er in dat interview te lezen.
Wat hij ook opmerkte was, dat het steeds moeilijker wordt om leuke en creatieve programma’s te verzinnen om de kijkcijfers omhoog te stuwen, daar gaat het natuurlijk vaak om in omroepland.
Nu dacht ik, nadat ik dit interview had gelezen, we hebben eigenlijk in onze spelleider van de Progladder een buitengewoon talent om een geheel nieuw spel voor Omroep MAX te organiseren.
Zou de omroep, na het succes van Heel Holland Bakt, niet opnieuw een grote hit kunnen hebben met Casper als spelleider, in Heel Holland aan de Prog?
