De Grote Finale
We gaan nu echt beginnen aan De Grote Finale. Na een jaar stemmen op 768 nummers uit het jaar 2016 zijn er nu nog 192 nummers in de race. Over (als het goed is) een kleine twee maanden weten we definitief wat de Song van het Jaar 2016 is geworden. Er bestaat geen andere songcompetitie die zo uitgebreid en nauwkeurig hun winnaar van het jaar bepaald. De Grote Finale wordt als volgt gespeeld:

We spelen een aantal ronden van 12 ladders, de top 4 gaat elke keer door, en wordt aangevuld door de nummers die 4 posities hoger eindigden in de maandfinales. Vervolgens ladderen we door tot we een finale van 12 nummers overhouden.

De nummers die doorgaan zijn voor de volgende ronde zo geordend voor de loting:

1. Percentage behaalde punten van totaal in ladder
2. Positie in de ladder
3. Positie in de maand top 20
(4. aantal nr.1, nr.2, nr.3 posities)

Elke ladder uit Ronde 1 bestaat uit vier nummers die doorgingen na de voorrondes (en die nummers zijn geordend zoals hierboven beschreven). Die ladders worden aangevuld met een #9, #10, #11 en #12 van een maandfinale.

Dit is het échte startschot van De Grote Finale van Song van het Jaar 2016. De maanfinalisten stromen nu één voor één het schema in en het zal nu elke ronde voor ieder nummer een zware strijd worden. Welk nummer is volgens de MuMe-community het beste nummer van het afgelopen jaar?
