Third is het Portishead-album dat mij deed inzien dat de band toch zijn aaibare momenten heeft. Ook klassieker Dummy kan ik tegenwoordig wat meer waarderen, maar mijn triphopfavorieten liggen nog steeds elders. Een en ander wordt toch met een 17e plek gehonoreerd.

Ik denk dat Elbow een vrij solide voorsprong in de statistieken had, ergo mijn volgorde van de nummer 1 en 2. Maar de MuMe-politieke correctheid is soms toch een zware factor.

Tja, een schrale hoeveelheid overlap dit jaar, al vind ik een twaalfde plek voor mijn nummer 1 zeer verdienstelijk.

Wat die laatste betreft: Steven Wilsons eerste in-naam-soloplaat viel nogal wat klassieke prog / Porcupine Tree liefhebbers indertijd rauw op het dak met zijn noise/shoegaze-invloeden. Hij zou van de weeromstuit best wat mensen hier aan kunnen spreken die normaalgesproken wat vies kijken bij het horen van zijn naam.

Ik doe volgende keer weer mee met de voorspellingen.

Geen opzienbarend jaar, maar toch twee keer de top 10 gehaald, en drie keer de top 14.
Dat is wel eens slechter geweest.

Ook erg blij met de winnaar en de hoge noteringen voor Jóhann Jóhannsson, Juana Molina, Het Zesde Metaal en Lindstrøm.

Ik zie het ... en Discogs geeft eveneens 2009 als jaar van release.
Maar hij was toch eind 2008 echt beschikbaar hoor, dat vindt TT ook.
