In principe sta ik nog steeds achter het basisprincipe van de Meter-sites. Elke mening is even belangrijk, of je nou een die hard bezoeker of een toevallig passant ben. Daarnaast erger ik me aan hoe serieus velen die top 250 lijst nemen, en vond ik het al die jaren heerlijk om lekker te stangen en dwars te liggen op dit punt

Ik begin zoals ik een paar jaar geleden al aangaf echter wel steeds gevoeliger te worden voor het argument dat mensen die bv. in 2009 een top 10 maakten, en daarna nooit meer zijn ingelogd, 5 jaar aan muziek missen, en er dus een heel goede kans is dat de ingevoerde top 10 niet meer de top 10 is die ze nu zouden maken.

Dus, ik geef het bij deze op. Ik zal op de lijst zetten om bij het samenstellen van de top 250, de top 10 lijsten te negeren van mensen die langer dan een jaar niet ingelogd zijn.

Op het gevaar af dat ik je enthousiasme weer ontmoedig, zou ik dan wel willen pleiten voor een grens van 2 jaar i.p.v. 1 jaar, omdat
a) je dan toch iets meer data hebt (bij eerdere experimenten bleek vaak dat platen lager in de lijst toch vrij weinig toptien-noteringen overhielden)
b) 2 jaar mooi samenvalt met de minimale leeftijd van een album om in de lijst te komen

Ach Jordy, het gaat mij niet dat ik gelijk heb, maar het is toch meer dan redelijk. Zoals die Top 250 nu werkt, neem ik 'm niet serieus en als ie 'actueler' of bij de tijd is dan wat meer, maar vind ik het vooral interessanter om te zien dat er meer dynamiek of 'versheid 'in kan komen. Radiohead kan /zal best nog bovenaan staan, maar dat is het punt ook niet.

Verder lijk je me heel aardig.

Ik vind dynamiek een slechte eigenschap voor een toplijst. Als je objectief kon "meten" hoe goed een album was, zou een toplijst nooit veranderen, behalve de jaarlijkse binnenkomers dan.

Nou ja, ik gebruik in deze niet het juiste woord; heb jij ook een punt.

Dan moet je de toplijst rangschikken op beoordelingen ipv lijstjes. Niet dat ik dat wil ipv de huidige Top 250, de persoonlijke Top 10's zijn juist een heel leuk aspect van MuMe. En ik sluit me aan bij Casartelli; een grens van twee jaar lijkt me beter.

Lijkt me niet goed; straks staat er album op éen met 3 stemmen en een gemiddelde van 4,44 bijv. Die lijstjes zijn er al, nml. de jaar/genre/decennialijstjes.

Uiteraard gewogen naar hoeveelheid stemmen. A la RateYourMusic

High violet is heeft in een nacht tijd 1400 punten vergaard en staat ineens op nummer 12. Wat is hier gebeurd?

2 in de oude lijst en 4 albums van Marillion in de vernieuwde lijst, ik kan wel zeggen dat het een enorme vooruitgang is

Oh, dan is die nieuwe lijst dubbel zo als de oude lijst.
Eigenlijk maakt het mij niet zo veel uit wie waar staat en hoeveel.
Wel vond ik het vreemd dat een user die 5 jaar geleden een lijstje dumpt en daarna verdwijnt gewoon mee kan tellen, bij zo´n user doen nieuwe ontwikkelingen en albums dus niet mee.

Zo op het eerste gezicht alleen maar positieve veranderingen. Dit was een juiste beslissing!

Ik ben ook blij met de verandering, de lijst wordt hierdoor actueler en juister!

Lijkt me een stuk beter dit! Mooie stijgingen voor bijv. Nick Drake, Talk Talk en The National. Coldplay lijkt het grootste slachtoffer van deze verandering.

Opvallend dat Humbug in de top-250 komt. Toch zeker niet de populairste onder AM-adepten.

Ik kan niet helemaal plaatsen waarom Metallica zo onderuit gaat, maar voor het overige bekruipt me wel het gevoel dat als ik de nieuwe binnenkomers en grote stijgers naast de gesneuvelde platen en grote dalers zie, dat de huidige lijst representatiever is.

Ik vermoed omdat het bij Metallica al even geleden is dat ze nog iets nieuws uitbrachten (2008) en dat er toen een opstoot van Metallica-liefhebbers is geweest even die allemaal hun albums beluisterden, die in hun top-10 zetten, maar niet meer op de site terugkwamen.

Humbug staat ook lager dan de eerst 2 en is wel populairder dan Suck it, AM mag nog niet meedoen voor deze lijst, vandaar.
