Wel een beetje uitgekauwde spacecake. Maar een goeie track, slim inspelend op de enorme ruimte-interesse in die tijd. Verschillende releases, Kubrick, de stylophone - er zijn wat elementen waardoor de track aandacht bleef trekken over de jaren. En hij wordt nog steeds hooggeacht.

Het valt me wel op hoe matig Elvis het doet bij ons. Suspicious Minds is toch één van zijn beste songs & ook In The Ghetto mag er wezen. Over Ghetto gesproken: die van Donny Hathaway hoopte ik stiekem in onze top 20 terug te zien: wat een mooi nummer!

Ik heb trouwens The Beatles met the Abbey Road medley Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight als albumtrack gezien en daarom op 21 gezet.

Deze stond bij mij 'maar' op 36 vanwege de mindere 1969 single mix. De 1970 album mix vind ik stukken beter.
