The Chameleons zijn een band voor kenners en fijnproevers. Hun atmosferische gitaarsound, aangevuld met donkere synthesizers en de sterke zanger Mark Burgess, is geknipt voor dit forum. Het blijft jammer dat hun topjaren slechts duurden van 1981 tot en met 1986. De band viel uiteen door artistieke meningsverschillen tussen Burgess en gitarist Dave Fielding. Een korte reünie leverde in 2003 nog een album op, maar het hoge niveau van weleer wisten ze niet meer te benaderen. Vooral de LP Script of the Bridge blijft een pareltje, waarop alleen maar goede songs staan. Waaronder deze.
