Een hele sprong in punten nu, de top 4 stak er echt bovenuit.

Heligoland heeft nooit de status gekregen die eerdere albums van Massive Attack wel hadden.
Toch is Paradise Circus met Mazzy Star zangeres Hope Sandoval weer een prachtig nummer.

Dit trip hop had altijd wel een goed neusje voor de juiste vocalisten, in deze dromerige met elektronica omlijste ballad is ook Hope weer een voltreffer.
De altijd onder de huid kruipende muziek van MA en de sensuele vocalen van Hope Sandoval zoregen weer terecht voor een mooie notering in onze lijst.

Love is like a sin, my love
For the ones that feel it the most

Ik vind t n vet album.. beter dan de eerste 2.

dat vind ik nou ook weer niet, maar wel een erg goeie plaat.

Kak, Paradise Circus vergeten in m'n lijstje te plaatsen. Had een hoge positie gekregen.

Heligoland is inderdaad gewoon een topper. Niet zo goed als Mezzanine, maar dat is geen schande.

Ready to Start is beduidend minder dan twee andere kansrijke nummers van ze, hopelijk komen die nog.

Ga je mond spoelen

Deerhunter ! Wow !! Mooie notering voor Gorillaz, al had ie hoger moeten staan.
Massive Attack aardig, maar ik heb ze beter gehoord.
Van Aarcade Fire heb ik een andere. Hoop sowieso nog op Villagers, maar vrees van niet.

Indrukwekkende klasseringen door de fans hierzo, 1 x een 1e plaats en 4 maal een 2e plaats.

Weer een mooi liedje deze opener van het gelijknamige 3e album van Arcade Fire.
Wie denkt dat het vrolijk gaat worden heeft het mis.
You always seemed so sure

In het refrein gaat Win butler zijn stem lekker de hoogte in en wij hebben er weer een Arcade Fire klassieker bij.

Waar blijft The National? Ik neem aan dat Sprawl II nog voorbij komt, dus dan blijft er nog 1 plek over voor Bloodbuzz Ohio of Conversation 16.

Helaas geen Villagers en Warpaint in de top 10 dan.

De vraag was natuurlijk of The National nog zou komen?
Zeker in het begin van de week stroomde de punten niet echt binnen, op de slotdag ging het opeens beter en in het laatste lijstje zaten nog eens 10 punten verpakt, waardoor zij toch nog 1 puntje boven nummer 3 eindigen.

Bloodbuzz Ohio was ooit een 6 minuten lied maar werd uiteindelijk toch ingekort tot de ruim vier en halve minuut die het nu duurt.
Ondanks alle prachtige arrangementen en instrumenten drijft dit lied toch vooral weer op de fraaie bariton van zanger Matt Berninger.
Ach als je dit nummer voor het eerst hoort weet je gelijk dat dit The National is.
Zeker het mooiste nummer van High Violet wat mij betreft en ja weer een mooie voltreffer voor The National in dit topic.

Mijn favoriete Arcade Fire liedje wordt toch vaak gedist, het zou naaperij van Heart of Glass van Blondie of foute disco en ook wel een slechte ABBA imitatie zijn.

Echter niets van dit alles is waar, Sprawl II is een heerlijk door Regine gezongen feestje en live is dit toch altijd weer een hoogtepuntje.
En wat een drive heeft dit nummer syntpop, electro disco, toe maar, heerlijk en nu dansen op de geweldige nummer 1 van 2010.
