Dat in mijn favoriete jaar (het jaar waarin ik mijn definitieve muziekobsessie ontwikkelde) dan ook nog eens mijn favoriete album van dat jaar onverwachts wint! En dan ook nog eens Oneida in de top-25 (en wel meer puike platen). Dit moet haast wel de beste uitslag tot dusver zijn. Alleen Patrick Watson stelt teleur. De grootste verrassingen zijn de lage noteringen van Mumford & Sons en Kasabian (niet eens top-25) en de hoge noteringen voor Fuck Buttons en Bill Callahan. Allemaal zeer welkome verrassingen.

Mooie winnaar!

Fever Ray vind ik alweer helemaal niets. Voor mij is dit onze minste gezamenlijke top 10 geworden. Maar ja, de zon schijnt, dus ik mopper niet.

Bovendien ken ik Bill Callahan en Archive (de nummer 1) niet.... maar die heeft dan ook 'maar' 256 stemmen. Ik vind het nogal verrassend dat Kasabian met West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum niet eens de top 25 haalt. Toch één van de succesplaten van dat jaar. En Pearl Jam, waar ik best fan van ben, met een matige plaat, wel.
