Liquid Swords nummer 1 sowieso.

Ik trap af met deze onmogelijke taak.

Eerlijk is eerlijk, ik ben hier al weken op aan het broeden en ben er ondertussen wel achter dat dit never nooit niet een definitieve lijst zal zijn. Mijn top10 en decenia-lijstjes heb ik losgelaten en ben begonnen met een shortlist van 150 albums. De eerste 50 schrappen was pijnlijk, maar die laatste 50 waren al helemaal niet te doen. In de keuze en ranking heb ik puur gekeken naar wat een album voor mij betekent, hoevaak ik deze luister en het plezier wat ik eruit gehaald heb (en nog belangrijker: nog steeds haal). Discussiëren of een bepaald album beter is heeft voor mij dan ook nauwelijks een rol gespeeld.

Hoewel ik altijd een aantal albums schaar onder mijn favoriete hip hop plaat ooit, heeft deze keer de artiest de doorslag gegeven. Voor mij de absolute heerser(s) van het beste genre op deze hele hete aardbol.

Speelt de volgorde nog een grote rol?

bij een top 50? eh.. ja. wel goed dat je vraagt, voor hetzelfde geld maakt t geen zak uit.

Heel veel zelfs. Hoe hoger de positie, des te meer punten zal de plaat verdienen voor de eindlijst (alle ingezonden top50’s worden verzameld, krijgen punten toebedeeld en daaruit wordt een gezamenlijke ranking bepaald).

Hiphop blijft een machtig genre, imo een van de relevantste en meest creatieve muziekstromingen van de laatste jaren. Heerlijk om te zien hoe het genre zich heeft ontwikkeld over de jaren en ik kijk halsreikend uit naar de verdere ontplooiing in de toekomst. JayM, thx voor deze fantastische beat & bars gevulde reis. Een prachtige gelegenheid om al die parels te ontdekken die veels te lang onbeluisterd zijn gebleven.

Ken ik eigenlijk best weinig van. Toch interessant om die recentere albums te gaan checken.

Ben ook nog bezig met een top lijst voor dat algemene topic. Hier ben ik nog wel even mee aan t puzzelen, maar doe zeker mee. Al weet ik dat dit eigenlijk niet te doen is. Ik denk een stuk of 40 platen die ik echt allemaal voltreffers van a tot z vind. Maar ik ga een poging wagen en ergens in de nabije toekomst met n lijstje komen.

Ik denk dat qua hiphopsmaak van dit forum ik me hier het best in kan vinden. Grappig ook dat Big Noyd album ertussen, die heb ik ook overwogen maar nooit verwacht dat iemand hem hier in zijn lijst zou hebben.

Yup! Drill is wat ik al die jaren zocht in trap en Pop zat recht in de roos met zijn tapes.

Door bennerd kom ik er achter dat ik UGK vergeten ben.

Een incidentele 1-op-1 aanpassing wil ik nog door de vingers zien, hele verschuivingen in lijsten die al verwerkt zijn is niet te doen.
